you remember your score in this fight?

    I had Acelino 86 and Corrales 83.
Popo won the first 7 rounds in my opinion.
and then tired, and became easy prey for Diego.

    I had Acelino winning.

I dont fault for him for quitting. Because I have no idea how he was getting up. Every time he was down it looked bad.

Yeah,he was soundly outboxing(in his own unique way) Corrales through the majority of the earlier rounds. All that wasted movement was going to catch up with Freitas eventually, though.I don't know exactly when they brought in Oscar Suarez(just a couple of fights before the Casamayor fight,I think),but he changed Freitas from a super aggressive,gun-slinging power puncher into free-flowing dancer that fought in spurts.

no he wasnt. he was outpointing corrales till diego took it by the balls completely and just went straight for him. corrales looked out of it in the 7th.

this is why he got the quitter moniker due to him being on top and just couldn't be ****ed to keep if going. stopped punching, shook his head and just couldn't be bothered after he was gettign swarmed. should of kept throwing. it stopped him the last 7 rounds.

Never scored the fight but I saw it as a great contrast of world class styles. Freitas was the quick combination punching boxer, while Diego was the ever stalking puncher. (Although Freitas was a known banger himself)

It was surprising to see how much stronger and more powerful Diego looked when compared to Acelino, considering they were both former jr. Lightweights who had barely made the leap to lightweight. It was fantastic to watch Corrales eventually catch up to Freitas, wear him down, and blast him down to the canvas. Good fight to watch for the hardcore fan.
