Acelino Freitas vs. Diego Corrales

Corrales knocked him off of his feet. But Freitas had a mean punch and was kicking ass before Corrales went on seek and destroy.

 

Freitas was an excellent boxer but he didnt have enough heart
never gave casamayor a rematch,quit with corrales and quit with diaz...thats the way i see it

 

Casamayor is a dirty fighter. Why give that cheat a rematch?

i just wish he got to fight more of the best fighters at the time.

 

IMO the fight that convinced Fretias he didn't really want to be a fighter anymore.

 

All this talk is making me want to watch the fight. Never seen it before so I'm going to check it out on Youtube right now. :thumbsup

 

you can call him dirty but he fought corrales 3 times and gave him a rematch after beating him the first time
freitas-casamayor was too close and many felt El cepillo won...the way to shut up everyone was taking him to another fight like Floyd did with Castillo and Bute with Andrade...freitas was offered lot of money for that fight...he just didnt have the balls.
he seems a nice guy but to me he lack a lot of heart.

 

He got lifted off his feet and flew across the ring like Superman, Diego hit him so hard. He knew there was no reason to go on, he could only get seriously hurt.

For the guy who said he could have beat Diego by running less and blocking more... if he runs less he gets KO'd sooner.

 

Freitas didn't want to be carried out on his back after the fight.

 

Freitas is the first fighter ive ever seen celebrating a couple of minutes after he quit.

 

Casamayor was one of the dirtiest fighters ever :yep
