Remember that he was a star by the age of twenty, if not for that stint in jail (3.5 years I think) and King, he could b in the top 5 At, as it is IMO he is an ATG.

I know and I agree that they might bounce back, but at this point im dissapointed in them, especially in williams who I thought could have been a lesser but still decent version of hearns if he had hired steward.

I disagree...when he came out of the olympics were there people out there that thought he would:
    -2x fighter of the year
    -Undisputed champion in 3 divisions
-World titlist in 5 divisions and beat the "man" from 2 others
    -43-0
-and be considered the greatest 130 lb fighter ever?
-biggest money maker in the sport

I dont think anyone thought that...Id say he exceeded it.

Zab had the tools to be an amazing fighter, I think he suffered b/c he never had a world class trainer (and his ring IQ sucks).

He was the fastest fighter in the sport, great agility, great reflexes, very good power. I thought he was going to be p4p #1 in the sport.

Exceeded- Pac..thought DLH would put him in a coma..I remember how my bro would give me (as DLH) tough fights with Pac on FNR3 and I'd always cry about how unrealistic it was and that DLH would crush him if they ever fought..also picked Hatton and gave Cotto a good chance against him

Failed- DLH..must have had him winning every fight but Hopkins, going 0-6 against elite fighters was not what I would've expected when I first became a fan after the Chavez and MA Gonzalez fights..and Haye..nothing more to say but what a dickless poofter he turned out to be</p>

No way on either of those two.

Williams defeated the almighty #3 P4P Martinez.

Dawson beat Adamek, Johnson, Tarver, Tarver, and Johnson. He just lost his first ever fight. Oh yeah, he's failed to meet expectations alright...

Librado Andrade- Was something like 2-14 in the ams, not particularly gifted athletically or in terms of skill, and became a perennial contender.

Fragomeni-Got a LATE start in his pro career, very short for his division, no power whatsoever, and won a world title and also gave David Haye a very tough fight.

Sergio Martinez- went most of his career without a true promoter and made the most of the opportunity when it came knocking.

Glen Johnson- He had a stretch where he went something like 8-9 in a 17 bout stretch, a lot of fighters would have quit, instead he picked himself up and won world titles and a fighter of the year award.

    Failed

Zab Judah- incredibly physically blessed but lacked certain pieces of the puzzle to really allow him to come close to reaching his full potential.

    Mike Tyson

Riddick Bowe- Talented fighter, but questionable dedication and didn't make the immensely anticipated bouts at any point in his career against Lennox Lewis or Tyson. If he was focused like Bowe-Holyfield I each time out...he would have been amazing.

Diego Corrales's achievements definitely surpassed what I had expected of him back in 2001. He was so devastated after losing to Mayweather, he was fighting back tears during the post-fight interview, his voice was cracking, almost at a loss for words. Then he went to prison.

I wouldn't have expected him to later have consecutive victories against Casamayor, Freitas, and Castillo.
