I think Pac avoided a Marquez rematch as long as he could.

in boxing a fighter as popular as Pacquiao can avoid Marquez forever if he wants to. Marquez had to earn his rematch against the much more accomplished PAcquiao, something he did when he destroyed Juarez.

noone put a gun to Pac's head and forced him to fight Marquez. When he saw most of the fans thought it was the best fight, he took it.

Yes, i picked Hopkins but i wasn't one of those delusional Hopkins fans who thought that he would dominate Calzaghe. I thought it would be a close and ugly fight in which Hopkins would win. But i also didn't count on father time actually catching up to him. I mean even before the fight, everyone acknowledged the fact that he was 43 and that was a factor.

But even still, i had it 6-6 which means he won 114-113. :good

And i bet he won't fight Marquez again. Or if he does, he will wait till he's over the hill. But real boxing fans will know what's up. Marquez got the better of him once and according to some, twice.

Damn ..youre like the 10th guy on this thread not knowing history beyond 4 years.

JMM avoided Pac for years and decided to fight in Indonesia instead for 30k.. while Pac faced Morales 3 times.

Tell me you didnt know that?..

The whole of Mexico knows that Berestain was adamant on not having a rematch at that time..he needed more time for his fighter

What are you guys talking about?

I disagree. JMM wanted the rematch but he didn't like the contract aspect of the fight. The fact is that JMM outboxed Pacman in both fights. I know i can't ignore the KDs but aside from those, he was the superior boxer. You can't deny that. But again, i know you can't ignore them. You have to credit Pac for getting the KDs.

I had the first fight a draw and JMM closely but clearly winning the 2nd one. Pac has to know that he was in a hell of a fight in both times. He is ducking him now.

Every fighter has ducked or avoided a fighter to a certain degree ... you have a promoter who keeps you in his best interest and will make sure that you have a tough fight and a winnable fight.

I don't think so ... i'm sure there were plenty of MW contenders that he couldve fought instead of Spinks and Ouma ...

Well, i think those were fights where his handlers wanted him to take it easy. That doesn't necessarily mean that JT avoided or ducked anyone at the time. He just accepted what his handlers wanted him to do.

But let's not forget that he overrode what his handlers wanted him to do in the Pavlik 2 rematch. He wanted it done and he told his handlers to do it get it done despite their disagreements. He was willing to do the immediate rematch with Winky but Winky pulled out.

Vitali and Vladimir Klitschko never ducked anyone.
