People saying Bruce Lee would get his ass beat by modern MMA fighters don't take into account that if Bruce Lee was alive now and wanted to be a MMA fighter full-time he'd learn about wrestling and other styles on-top of his own.

Back then, MMA was in its infancy and Lee was ahead of the curve.
What makes people think he wouldn't be ahead of the curve in this day and age if he was a professional fighter?

To compare lee to today is unfair with the advances in everything. But he is the grandfather of mma and was seeking all different types of advances by himself. The mainstream only came around to his thinking in the nineties. That's impressive.

Truth is that most decent golden gloves boxers would beat Lee. The reason there is no fight record or footage is he didn't fight. "The art of fighting without fighting" you might say. Lee did not want to test himself in the public arenas as he knew he would lose. simple. myth making is what it is.

You are a fool. BJ's boxing isn't even that good. With speed alone lee would dominate BJ's average boxing at best. Lmao

Bruce Lee......ran, lifted weights, did calisthenics, did bag work (not well), did most of the things that fighters do. Well, except one. He did not fight. Not to the extent that he should be called a fighter. Joe Lewis....said a lot of things about Lee. One thing is that Lewis was a champion before he got involved with Lee. Lee was not his instructor. He may have learned some things from their association. Have you not learned something from someone you have worked out with. Lee wanted Lewis to spout off about his being Lewis's instructor. Lee was a master........a master of self promotion. Fumio Demura told me that he had worked out with Lee and that Lee could not hurt you as he had no power to speak of. Lee was not a fighter...period. He had a strong desire to be thought of as the best martial artist in the world. He achieved that. Many thought he was. Only problem is he was not. If he was a fighter we would all be able to sit back and watch his many fights on tape and enjoy the combat. We cannot do that because they do not exist. He was a movie guy that got killed but that is another story. Let the arrows fly. However, to call Lee a fighter is to be disrespectful to everyone that is or has ever been a fighter. Lee did not have the confidence in his own ability to lay it on the line.
