whats happened to proper padwork, throwing proper shots, instead of this 'don't i look good on these pads' padwork:think

the hooking ive seen in some sessions, including the one with that jessy james jackson vid at mayweathers gym looks terrible, surely it would put bad habits in a boxer:think

I'd use it as a supplement to proper pad work - which most trainers who use it do widdy. Think about it, to pull off the moves in the drill the boxer has to be on balance and without giving the game away for some of the mongo trainers out there in the world balance is absolutely key in boxing. 9 times out of ten, the guy who wins the fight is the person who spends most of his time on balance, additionally that shitty look that some journeyman and less accomplished boxers have is usually down to how they proportion themselves when punching and moving, and defending. There are some truly subtle similarities in nearly all great fighters. When you spot it, its very revealing. Sounds like crazy jedi **** but having spoke about it with probably the greatest studier of movement in boxing that i've come across its been massively helpful for me and the people I teach. :good

aye,the more i thought about it after my initial 'im still pissed from last night' post was that it would be fine incorporated into the rest of the training, obviously a boxer is not just going to do that all night, was not thinking at the time:roll::D
