Adam Azim "If I had one person to fight I think I would fight Haney. He's skilful. I think I'd beat him. I think I'd be too fast for him. I'd be too fast and powerful for him. He doesn't like boxers. He likes people that come at him. I think he lost that fight [to Lomachenko] in my opinion. Lomachenko was just levels above and too good for him." We just cooking right now ...late 2024 or early 2025 he coming for everyone in the 140lbs division..
Its too early to judge whether Azim is on Haney's level but he is really talented and will only get better at 21. Azim V Barroso would be a good step up fight.
That's a high risk low reward fight unless Barroso wins the title off Rolly then definitely an option ..
Too early to tell. He has size, reach and good speed but in terms of skills so far he's your typical fast fighter who uses that to lead but hasn't learned to counter. That's fine when your on top but once your in a real competitive fight, that lack of counter punching will result in you being useless on the back foot. He has potential for sure but right now he's just another Josh Kelly or Chris Colbert, looks great beating journeymen but once they step up in class all those flaws are exposed. He needs to show me more before I think he could be a future champion.
Azim needs to become a weight bully for that fight because Haney never ever fights anyone even close to his size. Give that female dog a taste of his own medicine and knock his ass out Azim.
Haney can come in a 165lbs on fight night , makes no difference.. his jab and hold won't work on Adam .. Adam will be chin checking him from the 1st bell ...Haney will get a beating mark my words .. Adam is 5'10 Haney is 5'8 i think Adam also has reach advantage too..
Just want to see a fair fight between two guys in the same division who aren't separated by 2-4 divisions in weight. Azim needs to put some serious beatdown on that female dog's ass
So far, his mouth is too fast and powerful for what he has done so far. Lets see how he does against domestic comp.
I know what you mean.. Haney wants to just use his weight and size to bully .. think is Adam wants to stay lean so he can keep his speed and movement. I really don't see anything in Haney which is excellent... He doesn't even use his weight advantage properly .. lol doesn't know how too lol Vs Loma showed he give up his reach advantage of you have fast footwork .. Adam is young fresh and hungry...only lacks experience which he will gain this year ...he in a rush so they cant hold him back for too long ..
He bypassing domestic, he European champion in 10 fights lol he wants 3 more fights then a world title shot .. ready or not he don't care lol
Yes he does Neither do I. A same size Loma would've easily knocked him out early, even that old past prime version, and Loma isn't the trying to get you out of there early type really. He doesn't even more out of second gear until after five or six rounds Azim might have to chase Haney up to 147 because of the later's weight bully weighs catching up to him. But Azim looks big framed and he can easily fill out and move up to 147 when the time comes
