I've been impressed with Booth. Seems like a classy guy. No excuses, no garbage. The strategy he came up with was the right one. But to succeed, Haye would have to take risks. Haye was not willing to take risks.

I just watched the Haye interview on the same website, the one at his hotel, he looks gutted but seems realistic about the chances of getting a rematch.

Reading between the lines, I think he'll fight past his retirement date, he knows what this loss does to his reputation. I think he might take up Vitalis offer with the idea that if he were to win, he holds the WBC Strap and that puts him in contention straight away for Wlad rematch.

That's not to say he would win against Vit, he still is up against the same problems in that fight with height and size, add to this fact that Vit is less predictable in his shots.

However, I haven't been impressed by Vitali in his past few fights, I believe he is past prime and have said on a couple of occassions that at the moment ... Wlad is the harder fight of the two for anyone.

Other than that fight, I think Haye will pick some 2n tier heavy as a homecoming fight to leave on a win. Not really interested in seeing that.

I think Haye would have a much better shot against Vitali. Vitali would try to turn the fight into a tough-guy contest. That would give Haye a far better chance of a KO. Whether he could KO Vitali, I don't know, but he'd have more opportunities than against Wlad. Of course, Vitali would have more opportunities to KO Haye as well.

Hadn't thought of that. Haye trying out a new trainer could be interesting.

I'll admit I don't particularly like Haye, but he's not as bad as some people make out on here. His heart is there somewhere, but he's just a childish dickhead out of the ring and came up short against Wlad. If he continues it could be a good lesson for him.

Does Haye think he will get another 50/50 split in a rematch or a fight with Vitaly/ Why am I getting this feeling that little will change? Haye will continue blasting out hand picked guys in the U.K. all the while demanding a fight with a Klitschko replete with the same classless antics.

The truly sad thing is that the boxing public/powers that be will fall for it all over again...

Haye should retire, no one needs fight him, unless he sweetens the pot for a million out of his own pocket....he can be dodged.

He's proven too dangerous for his own good, staggering Wlad and making Wlad miss so often.

Yep, he's fragile breaking his hand Vs Valuof early........, straining his back, dropping stuff on his toe. Hurting his hand in training.

Pretty sure he'll keep fighting on past his 31st birthday.

Gotta agree with you about Roach, would certainly make things more interesting.

Didn't watch it myself...but if that's accurate, big props to Booth. He's "manned up", something many of the Wlad hating/British loving posters here haven't done...and of course we all know, never will.

IF the fight were to happen, I think 25-30% to Haye would be fair. He's coming off a loss, not a champion, so he surely can't expect close to a 50% split.

But I think Vitali is ALL WRONG for Haye. Yes, Vitali is slower than Wladimir. However, Vitali still has great timing, and I think he'd be willing to take a shot or two, in return for landing one of his own. I get the impression after last night, that Vitali REALLY wants to knock Haye out...badly. Haye wouldn't be able to take shots all night, and it would be a KO/TKO stoppage win for Vitali.

When did he stagger Wladimir? I never thought that Wladimir was really hurt, I thought that he just clinched as to not get hit again with one that could have hurt him.

Been watching some other booth interviews..... not just about wlad/haye but also about hayes future, ect, ect.

Have to say, this guy could become my fav trainer in the sport.... what a straightforward, honest, yet tactful individual. Much respect :good

I have to say, I am surprised by what I've seen of Booth post fight. I just assumed he was similar to Haye in attitude, trash talking, etc.... seems not to be the case.

not sure why he outta retire cuz he cant topple either Klitschkos. There's plenty of other heavyweights he's got more than a fair chance to beat. How about Tyson Fury? lol

I think he outta stick it out, avoid the Klitschkos, and rack up some good wins and money. He looks physically great - he just needs to drop his ego, which got dropkicked in the crotch, and move on. The only disgraceful thing he did was not leaving it all in the ring, as all his TALK had dictated previously...

To be honest, Haye's "attitude" was a construct to get the Klitschko fight. It's all cartoon, he's not James Toney. The toe thing being wheeled out so quickly is disappointing, but I think that a defensive action due to his hurt at losing more than anything else.

Klitschko will never be flashy, but he's extremely effective...I think that should be the story, really. Haye was right in front of him, not covering up and ready to pounce yet he was seldom given the opportunity.
