its all to do with the fame and recognition in your own country

at times with roach, steward with khan and lee with english fans and irish fans you would think they are demi-god like with their trainer reputations.

once europe becomes the hub of boxing as it soon will (in the short term tho) you will start to see some more americans going to europe to train. rampage jackson has already done this (mma fighter). going into a camp in a unknown place can for some, focus the mind and create a positice siege mentality

truth is, unless you have trained a guy from the age of 10, at world championship level, you are pretty much just keeping someone sharp, focused and assisting in devising a gameplan. due to the press and tv such as 24/7, the influence of trainers in the overall outcome of a fight is greatly exagerated. roach said himself its like 85-15

Well,it can be said that the USA doesn`t have its Don Currys,Marvin Haglars,Tommy Hearns`s,Mike Tysons anymore,so,apart from Freddie Roach obviously what trainer from America is any better?

You can be a good trainer and not have any good fighters.

Calzaghe is obviously a great trainer because he made **** fighters win titles (excluding his son here!)

What impresses you about Adam Booth?

I personally think Robert McCracken (Froch's trainer) is better. He is very clear and concise in the corner, and ****...if you are doing this well with a fighter like Froch you are a good trainer. Plus he has a few other good fighters in his stable, Booth has very few.

    Sdunek is good of course.

    Uli Wegner.

I disagree, booth hasn't proven **** nor has calzaghe sr. There fighters
are the reason they even exist. The best trainers in europe are by far
fritz sdunek and uli wegner. Hell, robert mccracken is a better trainer than adam booth.
