Neither Wlad nor Vitali is Undisputed Heavyweight Champion because neither man has reigned solely over the division. There has always been a question as to who the best heavyweight is because the Klitschko's wont fight each other to decide it. To be undisputed champion you have to have all the titles, you have to have no rival in your weight division who could rival your dominance. Neither man has this.

The Klitschko's are not a tag team. Boxing is not a tag team sport.

A loss to one Klitschko is not a loss to both, Wlad beating somebody does not immediately invalidate that fighter for a shot against Vitali or visa-versa. Haye's excuse for his performance may have been laughable but he is still recognized as one of the best heavyweight fighters in the world today, a status confirmed by his impressive KO of Chisora.

As for the "he should have been ostracized and forgotten argument", you need only look as far as Vitali to see why that hasn't happened. If he had shown any of the class he's supposed to have as a person and said he was proud of his brother for shutting out and showing up Haye instead of running his mouth off about how Wlad hadn't done the job properly and he'd have to KO Haye himself to finish it then we wouldn't be getting these stories every other week about Haye calling out Vitali.

Vitali only has himself to blame for these stories, he only has himself to blame for Haye being relevent and no amout of his fanboys crying out that Haye doesn't deserve the shot will change the fact that its all Vitali's fault that Haye's in a position to make these public challenges despite Haye being pretty much inactive himself.

Exactly! So why not!!! Simple math! Everyone's a winner in a way! The only defeat will be of somebody's ego but the money generated should help ease that very quickly.

If your saw the disgraceful holding Wlad did against the likes of Mormeck, Chambers etc you would understand why Haye went to the floor before Wlad could illegally hold you and sap your energy.

Haye flopped to the floor trying to get a DQ win. That was his best chance at winning.

So when a younger Lennox Lewis promises a a rematch then says well first beat Johnson then I'll fight you, watches Johnson get destroyed and then retires he's not ducking Vitali but now Vitali is supposedly ducking a fighter who hasn't shown anything in the last 5 years except a pinky toe? weak argument at best..

BTW Tezel if the uppercut that Lewis hit Vitali with in their fight didn't put Vitali down than nothing that Haye has will put him down....

If this fight goes off I'm thinking about Tex Cobb's quote about Holyfield. "Next time I fight him I'll brin a louisville slugger, then I'd only lose by decision" Vitali UD or TKO 10 after a prolonged beating

People are merely pointing out the apparent hypocrisy that Vitali would be showing if he retired, not identical situations but similar enough for people to raise serious questions. It not really a weak argument, all things considered Lewis had achieved all he needed to achieve and had no reason to continue to a point that he's losing to lesser fighters, it speaks volumes that a prime Vitali got half his face ripped off by a past prime Lewis. Now picture it, Vitali is now angry that he couldn't better the great Lewis and thus holds a stupid grudge because it was the best chance he has at getting a W over an ATG. Fast forward 10 years or so and Vitali is in a similar situation where he's no longer at the peak of his powers only his resume is not nearly as impressive. Enter Haye, a genuine threat and an impressive name (yeh, these times), he's eager to prove a point and make a name for himself much like Vitali was against Lewis. Only difference is that Vitali would rather retire with his tail between his legs than face the young lion Haye. Oh did i mention that Vitali has called out Haye numerous times yet isnt willing to back up all the talk?

If Vitali retires and doesn't fight Stiverne then fair enough Stiverne has a slight right to feel aggrieved. Haye? Ha.
