So am I right in thinking, Team Kiltschko want to put all proceedings (German TV, UK PPV, gate revenue) in to one pot, and distribute that 50/50?

If so, I honestly don't think that is fair.

So let me get this straight? Booth was insisting that the bout was to be shown on ARD (German equivalent of BBC) instead of RTL (Klitschko TV station, biggest German TV station with the widest reach)? Is that a joke?

ARD (as a government run station without commercials) could never ever match the amount of money paid by RTL.

So what Booth is saying that their contract with Sauerland is basically blocking a fight with either Klitschko. That basically also means a fight with Vitali is off the table. Too bad.

Yes....and Hayes team agreed on the condition that the TV deal in the UK, Germany, USA went to the highest bidder.

If Showtimes offered more money than HBO, its goes on showtime. If BBC offer more money than Sky, its on the BBC. If ARD offer more money than RTL its shown by ARD.

This would surley make sense to anyone with a slight bit of business acumen.

ARD (as a government run station without commercials) could never ever match the amount of money paid by RTL. If Booth wants the maximum amount of money from Germany then the fight goes to RTL, just like the Klitschkos suggested. This is just a smokescreen.

So what Booth is saying that their contract with Sauerland is basically blocking a fight with either Klitschko. Which is what many of us here have been suspecting all along. Sauerland want to milk their options on Haye and make money on them, instead of losing the WBA strap in a unification fight prematurely.

That basically also means a fight with Vitali is off the table as well, as long as Sauerland has options on Haye. Too bad.

can you not read. Booth is saying that if ARD were prepared to offer more money they would go with them. Klitsckos are saying no matter who offers the most in Germany it will be on RTL.

Klitsckos refused so Booth counter offered saying thats fine you can keep RTL money if we keep Sky. Klitsckos said no!!!

Imagine if Primetime, the broadcaster of Klitsckos last fight in the UK were offering more money than Sky, wouldnt it make sense for the fight to get shown on Primetime???

Dude take it from me. ARD can't possibly offer more money than RTL. It does not compute. It's impossible. ARD is government run, fully government financed, they have NO COMMERCIALS for Christ's sake, where's the money going to come from?

What would you say if the Klitschkos demanded "We don't want the fight on Sky in the UK, we want it where the most money is made and that's why we demand the BBC, a publicly financed station!". Does that make sense?

Seriously Rob, you're grasping at straws. Haye/Booth and Sauerland do not want the fight right now. Sauerland does not want to lose the options they have on the WBA belt in a no-options unification fight. Is that so hard to see?

BBC in the UK can outbid the commercial ITV normally.

If RTL offered more money the fight would be on RTL. Hayes camp were just saying lets see what is offered.

Also saying that a goverment station has less money than a commercial ones is not always true. In the UK BBC have more money than ITV due to the ecomony.

Haye signed a deal with the devil (Sauerland) and now is caught in a web of options and TV station non-sense. This is not about financial issues, this is boxing and promoter politics. Sauerland do not want to risk losing their WBA belt and the revenues attached to it.

A fight between either Klitschko and Haye will never happen (even if Haye wanted to) unless he gets rid of Sauerland.

Surprised to see him mention Adameks name. That would be a good fight.

It makes sense if the BBC were offering more than Sky.

Haye is not demanding the fight be on ARD, he is demanding the fight be on whoever pays the most. He doesnt care which channel it is, as long as there paying the most.

Anyway BBC have outbided sky and itv for a number of sporting events in the last few years.

This also means a fight with Vitali is off the table for as long as Haye is with Sauerland. Too bad.
