I need you to provide a quote on that one I'm afraid, I don't believe Booth ever said that.

No, that makes no sense to me. Booth didn't make this assumption. Booth was actually very specific when he said to The Sun newspaper that "Haye insists that he gets 50% of any purse".

Any = everything, the entire pot. Every single penny that is made with the fight, worldwide. That means German TV money, UK TV money, US TV money, 150 country worldwide TV money, live gate ticket money, sponsoring etc. etc. etc.

so how is it that no one is calling Booth out. He flat out lied about "no 50-50 was offered"

and how about disappearing for 3 weeks. he did the same thing during the Vitali talks.

    Professionalism at it best

If Haye has the gonads to fight Harrison and put it on PPV, I'll switch to the Klitschko side of the argument in a big way. If Haye is as good as he says he is then no ****ing way does he need Audley Harrison on his CV, not now, not ever.

If Haye has turned down this deal with WALDO just to fight Fraudley on PPV to con the British public then that's the ultimate ***** move for me, and I'm done with him.

    Me too.

In fairness both Haye and Booth have said they're not interested. But then comes along Mr Accountant with £££. They could change their mind.

It's almost certanly a bull**** quote then, if it was in that rag. Also as I understand it the purse doesn't normally include TV money. It's been pointed out time and time again in this thread about how the likes of Hatton kept all the TV money for their big fights, Haye is obviously wanting the same kind of deal and it's fair enough. WALDO has ZERO appeal in the UK, people would be paying to see their man fight for the title.

Here is the thing FW. we all see now Booth is a flat out liar (no 50-50 was offered). So when he says 'No way we are fighting Harrison", I dont believe him. Booth told Finkle when he finally made contact.. "we are fighting Harrison"

    thoughts?

That's not correct. The "purse" in boxing is understood as the sum of the money made by two professional boxing fighters. That's the total of the money Wlad would make plus the total of what Haye makes.

http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Purse: Purse -- "The money that is paid to the two professional boxers who engage in a bout. "

Both said he wanted David to make 50% of that total pot.

I'll wait and see what happens my friend.....

I've said all along that if this really is a duckage and a smokescreen then Haye will prove it with the next fight he takes. If he takes on Harrison then (you can quote me on this) I'll never defend him or his team again. Fair enough?

If he fights Harrison and then takes on WALDO with a 90-10 split in WALDOS favour and still comes out swinging bombs, I'll be supporting WALDO, can't say fairer than that because it'll prove I was wrong to defend this ****. I still think at the moment that both men are ducking to be honest, but Povetkin is a decent fight to take for WALDO as an alternative, Haye does not need to be taking on Harrison in retaliation, that would be a cynical money making exercise and I wouldn't pay to see it.

(then I'd come back with "WALDO is ducking Tyson Fury") :happy:happy:happy
