You are completely missing the point, will Klitschko's name, belts, and standing as the hw no. 1 who has been dominating the division for years, add to the ppv sales, yes or no? Haye would be trading off Klitshko's name to generate ppv sales so of course he is entitled to a share of the money. Whether Klitschko would sell ppvs in the UK against other opponents is irrelevant. This is not rocket science, I don't know why it is so hard for you guys to understand.
well you was asking some guy for mathematical proof and then started spouting **** that doesnt equate in the real world. it is just unlucky for you that i have a first class honours degree in mathematics and pounce on **** like this. all cockness aside, are you really arguing because aposter said 10 mil and you believe it is kore likely to be 7.5 mil? cant we just accept that wlad turned the offer down and went for povetkin, and keep our fingers crossed that vitali and haye work something out.
Haye was looking for more than 50-50, he priced himself out and that is the bottom line. You don't need a first class honours degree in maths to figure that one out.
jeezus, enough of the blame game, dont matter who decided to end negotiations the fact is wlad is now fighting povetkin at long last. asll we can do is hope that haye and vitali get it on
Umm.... Isn't Vitaly in Russia negotiating with Valuev? You REALLY believe Vitaly/Haye are negotiating? Please.
i said hope. all we can do is hope. i dont know about you, but i would really prefer to watch vitali vs haye then vitali vs valuev. but each to their own.
It's not about blame, there are no bad guys but it's quite obvious who wanted the fight and who done everything possible to get out of it. Let's not cloud the issue by saying Wlad turned down the offer and went for Povetkin, he had no choice but to turn down such a ludicrous offer.
ok then yes. i was clouding the issue, wlad had no choice but to turn down the offer. now lets move on.
I don´t know for sure, but I guess the klits have a deal with RTL for all their next fights exclusivly. Since K2 always fights on RTL, Sauerland always on ARD and Universum always on ZDF. Also there is (sadly or perhaps thank god) no significant ppv market in Germany. I don´t think ARD could bring enough money to the table for a Klitschko event even if it was possible, but it isn´t due to the permanent Klitschko-RTL deal. Regarding Haye´s offer to the Klitschkos, that they can keep the RTL money and he keeps the ppv money he, or rather his fight with one Klitschko, creates; it sounds fair because he obviously is the bigger draw in the uk. But since you can create a lot of money with ppv, that would mean he would earn more out of this fight than the Klitschko. You can say that is not his fault the Klitschkos are stuck in Germany where is no ppv. On the other hand can you really expect Wlad, the number one Heavyweight champ (3 belts on the line) , to agree to a deal where he earns less than the contender (less than 50% of what the fight creates)? Well you decide!
I can't even read this ****ing book. The bottom line is Haye holds the WBA which means NOTHING- what has he done- fought a washed up JOHN RUIZ. He has already ducked two ****ing times- he goes quiet like a little scared *****... all of his dumbass supporters need to kill themselves NOW http://espn.go.com/sports/boxing/blog/_/name/rafael_dan/id/5363601/haye-all-bark-no-bite "• Ducker David Haye is a joke at this point. I mean, how can you possibly take him seriously? He vigorously called out Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko for about the past two years with some of the most childish antics I've ever seen. The brothers have always been willing to fight him and have legitimately offered to fight him at least three times. (You know, it might even be more. I may have lost count.) Each time, Haye ran way, including just a couple of weeks before a fight with Wladimir that had already been scheduled. Even after Wladimir went on his own recent media campaign and returned fire at him, essentially daring and begging Haye to fight him, Haye punked again. The most recent offer was for a fall fight against Wladimir. It was served to Haye on a silver platter with the deal he had asked for -- a 50-50 revenue split with Klitschko's K2 Promotions holding no future options. Haye tried to backtrack on the deal, saying he should keep the British television money for himself, Klitschko getting the German television money and the rest of the pot being divided evenly. But that's not 50-50. Putting all the money into the pot and then splitting it is 50-50. Apparently, Haye and his manager, Adam Booth, are worse at math than they are at making a deal. So the brothers continue to clean out the division in dominant fashion. You can probably count on one hand the number of rounds they have lost in their last several fights combined, all of which have come against legitimate opponents, excluding Vitali's recent domination of Albert Sosnowski (who, unlike Haye, at least had the courage to get into the ring and fight his butt off as best as he could). Wladimir will now move on to face Alexander Povetkin, his worthy mandatory challenger, and Vitali continues to pursue a fight with former titlist Nikolai Valuev. Haye has no fight lined up, although there is talk of a match with fellow Brit Audley Harrison, which will be a big deal in England. Everywhere else in the world, it would be about as interesting as a television test pattern. Emanuel Steward, who trains Wladimir, described Haye perfectly to me recently when we talked about how he was outright ducking the brothers. Steward used the analogy of a little dog barking like crazy at a big dog. While the big dog might ignore the little dog for awhile, eventually the big dog will have had enough and turn its attention toward the little dog, which will cower or run for cover. Haye is the little doggie. All bark. No bite. Filled with hollow words, he's a laughingstock, at least on this side of the pond."
ye no way in hell would i accept anything less than double what the challenger got. even if it was danny green and he only wanted aussie money
The question is, was Haye too greedy to take that offer or was it Sauerland not allowing him to take that offer? I admit I didn´t read the whole thread. Were there any news on this matter?
