You deserve respect for saying that. I will equally say that Adamek would be a good challenger and good fight, I hope it happens as we now know that a Klitschko fight is off the table for at least another 1-2 years.

I'm disappointed this fight isn't happening. I'm not cheering for anything. And don't ever pull that "true boxing fan" crap. it's pathetic and is used by others trying to put someone down.

How anyone can wipe Wlad of all blame is the real mystery. They made an offer based on contractual obligations they already held and Haye, as was his right, asked for different terms since he wasn't getting a genuine 50-50 split. if one side has pre-arranged contract terms, it's NOT 50-50, is it?

So, Haye countered and K2 refused. Haye's offer's perfectly fair since it's 50-50 bar domestic TV rights. The brothers would have kept all $3.5m of their licence fee for RTL and Haye would have gotten his non-guaranteed Sky PPV numbers. He could have made or less, but he took that risk.

How can anyone cheer the Klitschko's backing out of THAT!?

    Completely correct.

But look a this little factoid: Sauerland can slap on a 3 option clause in a contract with Adamek since it's a voluntary defense, thus Sauerland could keep control of the WBA belt even if Haye lost. If Haye lost in a no-options unification bout with the Klits (not a certainty, but certainly possible) Sauerland would have lost the WBA belt for good.

Therefore I am not surprised Sauerland prefers lower risk fights like Harrison or Adamek.

How is that fair? Haye ends up being dictated to by someone else's agreement. If Haye had a contract with another network, should Wlad give up his end of negotiations? Of course not.

Adamek? Too high risk/reward for a coward Haye. They'll be talking about this fight but in the end it will be Harrison, Rahman, Holyfield of some other pensioner. A re-match with Valuev is looming on the horizon since Vitali seems to be pushing his political career in Ukraine and might retire any day now, without fighting Valuev...

Unfortunately I think the TV/promoter/money obstacles are the same for a fight with Vitali. Sauerland would not want to risk their WBA belt going to Vitali and then Sauerland is out of a good source of revenues to them.

I fear the only time Haye - Wlad can happen is after Haye has worked off his options with Sauerland. There are two more options left. So that's probably another 12 - 18 months before Haye can approach the Klitschkos and say "Look guys I'm a free agent now, let's try this again". We'll see.

Are those figures not the purse bids and nothing to do with the TV money?

Probably not. If Haye is getting 75/80% of an adameck fight it will be same 50% of haye vs wlad especially if hes giving up uk tv.

First and foremost Haye is being dictated by his agreement with Sauerland. Tough ****, but if was him who signed it. So now he has to deal with it.

I wish he blamed Sauerland and not the Klitschkos though but I guess you don't publicly **** on your contract partner.

He isn't. He's asking for 50-50, excluding domestic TV rights since they can't agree on them.
