    You beat me to it.

There was a proposition back in the 1980s by the then recently created Florida commission that 3 straight ko or 6 straight points losses and you were automatically retired. At the time I was 12 and I thought excellent rule..now I think why wait 6 losses in any case but it would be a good idea if someone stepped up for example the WBA or WBC, and said 4 losses is the limit we wont sanction any fights involving this individual.

As it is however, ultimately its up to the person but it would be a good idea to retire right now, I agree.

Kowacki´s goal was always getting KO´d by Wilder for his WBC belt in a huge payday, he was on top of the replacement list for Joshua after Miller was forced to drop out but Kownacki turned it down saying he wasn´t ready to fight on 6 weeks notice. Then Wilder got beaten by Fury and a few weeks later Kownacki himself got stopped by Helenius and his career went nowhere after that.

Friend of mine in Kracow who knows AK and has (lightly) sparred with him says Adam is planning
on opening a boxing gym, I assume in Brooklyn.

"the distant past. Something many do here - especially with old time HWs"

Very true. Look at these clowns:

    https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/2014-deontay-wilder-vs-vitali-klitschko.692488/

80% would pick 2014 Kiev mayor Vitali to beat Wilder (28-7) more than 2 years after he'd had a gruelling 12 round battle with Chisora. A hypothetical 42 year old Vitali who hadn't fought for 20 months, who retired and never came back because he didn't believe he could compete with the best anymore, who got stopped twice in his prime, who never beat anyone better than Chisora (who has consistently said he wants absolutely no part of Wilder's highest level victim Ortiz) and who clearly did worse against their sole mutual opponent Arreola...

Either the 80% are dumb or their stated opinions are just bluster.

These fools are even more comical:

    https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/vitali-klitschko-vs-tyson-fury.559457/

2016 Kiev mayor Vitali (3.5 years inactive, about to turn 45) against Dusseldorf Fury. The thread was virtually 50-50 on who would win!

Kownacki should have taken the Joshua fight and live happily ever after.
