Spot on. If he takes the whyte fight fair enough, I won't be clamouring for it though as whyte getting ko'd flat by Povetkin is still too recent, I don't count his rematch as I still can't understand how he was entitled to it. I'd like to see him fight usyk, closer than some think as I suspect usyk may have depths he hasn't had to show yet, I'd fancy fury on what we've seen so far though. Win or lose the AJ fight will still be there, he won't leave that money on the table surely for what he'll see as an easy night.
Fury has to become undisputed before even being considered for ATG surely.taylor became undisputed in 18 fights and haven't seen anyone make such claims for him.
Anybody who thought the 3rd fight was a 50/50 couldn't have watched the first two..think you're exaggerating the %'s ...reality is there shouldn't have even been a third since he got a gift in 1st and obliterated in the 2nd.
I agree, as long as AJ can recover and beat Usyk or if he looses again if he can compete at against a decent level of opponents. It's still a stadium filling fight I think. Maybe Old Trafford or something Maybe AJ v Whyte 2, maybe AJ V Wallin, or AJ v Wilder or something along those lines.
However display flaws being out boxed in numerous rounds against low quality opponents Higher quality opposition would be able to exploit these weaknesses. Pulev would be his career best Win as he has never beaten anyone of his quality yet.
My favourite was when Mitch, the king of resumes and triangle theories, said Rivas was on a par with Ortiz but better than Wilder despite Wilder knocking out Ortiz twice.
I don't think anyone seriously disputed Wlad in 2015. Wilder at that point was WBC but not even he claimed to be champ above Wlad. And Fury's defeated him 3 times now anyway. The belts Usyk holds are simply the ones Fury gave up in a fit of depression. Yeah, it would be a good win to beat Usyk, a great win. But Fury's won all those belts now, and no one doubted his claim to be THE champion back in Dusseldorf 2015.
Mitch said he would be amazed if Wilder lasted 3 rounds with Michael Hunter. The same Michael Hunter who needed 4 rounds apiece to beat his last two opponents, Shawn Laughery and Mike Wilson. Troll of the Year.
Pulev at his best is no better than Ortiz. In fact now, in 2021 Pulev is a lesser fighter than 2018 Ortiz. Pulev nowadays is not better than a 2015 Stiverne either, and prime-for-prime was barely much better than that.
Of course Pulev is, his best wins over Chisora and Hughie is better than win over Jennings or Arreola.
