Ok apologies for another Froch thread but its pretty big. Smith interviewd in todays telegraph by Gareth Davies and said " I will be doing the utmost to get the right parties together to get Carl Froch back on Sky. There is no question he is right up there at the top level and i will do my very best to see if we can put is future fights on ". With Smith in his new role as head of boxing on sky, its looking like Froch is headed back to showcasing his talents on Sky, and not before time!

Sky will look a bit silly entering this event at the semi final date, but it needs to be done.

I think they could make it work. 2 semis and the final plus Bute for the winner and it wouldn't end there for Froch either if he got that far. Throw in a couple of fight camp episodes which is compelling viewing. Sky will make it work, Froch is a character, unlike Khan who has the personality of a sock. It makes sense for them to come in for the Johnson fight, it will be a good scrap but Froch will win and Sky would be aware of that and they can give the final then the huge coverage it deserves.

Can see why they might come in now, Johnson should be fairly straightforward, whereas a lot felt AA would beat him, they would have looked very stupid if they had bigged up another fight only him to get knocked out cold.

Doubleheader with Ward vs AA, then the final and hopefully unification with bute.

    happy days

Johnson will not be an easy fight. There is a certain hysteria at the moment.

Check this out, Froch on Sky at domestic level vs Tony Dodson. Listen to the commentary. People were questioning Frochs style back then too :D

Its not hysteria, its genuine recognition of how good Froch has been over the last 3-4 years especially. From Smith's comments its almost certain that Sky will be looking to sit down with Hennessy and Froch to broker a deal. Fair enough Hennessy is flawed and inept as a promoter but Sky have to show a bit of respect to Froch in negotiations. The goalposts have moved significantly since his last pay day off them for the Reid fight. He is since a 2 time WBC world champion, defeated Pascal,Taylor,Dirrell,Abraham and ran Kessler very close. No disrespect to Munroe or Booth but it would be laughable if Sky even attempted to offer him the same money they got for their world title fights.

Anybody who thinks Glen Johnson, even at this age is going to be straight forward............is wrong.

I think Johnson will be a very hard nights work for Froch. It will be an all action fight but like i stated in another thread i think Froch is too fit, the more powerful super-middle and just an all round better fighter. I can only see Froch loosing if he got very complacent but with the end in sight i think he will be greatly prepared, as always. He wants to be the best 168lb fighter and Johnson is in his way and i think he will deal with him in a good scrap.

Believe me when i say Froch knows this will be hard fight. When he was told about Glenn being in competition he didn't know and he went quiet for a moment...gave me the impression he knows Glenn will be a challenge for any man.

Calzaghe i heard pulled out 3 times with different injury's against Glenn, Carl would love nothing more then to beat Glenn...believe you me (Richie Woodhall style!)

This is promising - would've been one of the first things I'd've done if I were in his shoes (obviously after poaching Buncey!)

He did go quiet, and he straight away said.....that Glenn Johnson would beat Green.

But you can tell Carl Froch is honestly abit of sick *******...because he was smiling and looked like a fat kid that was going to get some sweets. He seemed really happy that somebody, who could potientially bring him a brutal war was the the tournament.

I don't think Carl Froch likes guys like Andre Ward & Dirrell. He likes honest fighters, who come forward and bring it...because thats the only thing they know, no tricks, no slickness.....just straight foward........bood..force..truma.

And Glenn Johnson, has made a career out of bullying, out working, and grinding down Light Heavyweights.

Glenn Johnson's strength is udnerrated, Abraham was a bull of a fighter....at Middleweight. But for the first time in his career, he was being moved by Carl Frochs punches, at times......almost almost pushed back.

I don't think Carl Frochs punches will have the same affect on Glenn Johnson, i think the fight will last 6-7 rounds at most and end in a TKO, for etheir fighter.

Glenn Johnson vs Carl Froch will be the best fight in the supersixx..........mark my words.

I believe Glenn Johnson will bring good performance, he is a professional and is always always in shape.

Gotta agree with most of what you said there PK. Thinking logically though I can't get away from three points:

    Froch is better than Woods
    Froch is better than Cloud
    Green is ****
