I can imagine Carl Froch starring back like a cobra, if this ever happened to him.

I like Adam Smith and I honestl feel with him behind sky you'll see better fights I know that, the guy just wants to see good fights, some promoters gonna love him and some gonna hate him but from a fans perspective how can they not love him?? Good move I feel. Only thing left to do is give Ed Robinson more air time, guy loves boxing is knowledgeable on the game and knows exactly how hard it can be as he's done a bit too...

hopefully Ed gets a shot in the commentary booth.

Johnson is a very tough fight for Froch but I think he has enough to beat him.

Would ya be pissed if Smith and Nelson dedicate a shitload of time to Burns-Evensen on thursday and not even acknowledge what Froch did ? Personally i think it would be fitting if he was a guest in studio but can't see that happening.

There's an interview with Smith in BM this month too and he tweeted something similar.

Not sure about Box Office appeal, the only fighters who have had that have needed to either have a load of hype behind them (Hatton) or an interesting match-up (Freak or Tosser v Haye) or stacked card (Magnificent Seven).

The problem with putting the fight on will be the time of it I think - US in the middle of night will scare the advertisers off.

A reasonable time and Sky being serious about being seen to be interested in boxing with Smith pushing might do the trick though.

    This x2.

Get the feeling it might just get a passing mention by Ed Robinson though, which would be rubbish.

x3. Surely they can't pretend this never happened. Not if they want to maintain some credibility with real boxing fans.
