He seems fairly honest but I would ask him why sky aren't picking more international fights up and also why they won't pick up other British cards if they are good cards. Jamie Mcdonnell should be fighting for his world title on sky.

 

I guess its down to budget. Although Smith will be able to do as he pleases with the budget he wont have control over the amount of the budget. Smith looks like they are just relying on Eddie to come up with the goods

Every card Sky show has to go through Matchroom first. For example, when the showed Kessler-Magee, Matchroom bought the rights for it and they aren't going to waste their budget on showing International fights which none of their fighters are involved with however we will see Peterson-Matthysse on Sky because of Purdy.

Ricky's a proven world champion Jamie has still to prove he's world class,don't getme wrong I really hope he wins but you simply wouldn't put the Doncaster show ahead of the Glasgow one IMO

Yes funny that clash came about on May 11th isn't it. You see other promoters just can't go straight to Adam these days. They have to go through Edward first. In fact they have to be willing to jump through quite a few Matchroom hoops before they get to lovely Adam Smith. Adam, of course, being the man who is so concerned about British boxing as a whole that he makes sure he covers non-Hearn fighters in his 'independent' weekly Ringside magazine.

 

He's put all his eggs in one basket with Hearn so when it inevitable ****s up he can't blame anybody but himself

Has anyone read Adam Smith's book? Is it any good? I bet it is a head melt reading it, every sentence and you are hearing Adam's forced commentators voice in your nugget.
