    That doesn't explain why he didn't get his flowers from SKY. Not at all.

    You've got it all mixed up. He provides zero analysis and who cares if he's a "genuine boxing fan". Many people are. What kind of criterion is that upon which to evaluate someone's capability. He's a corporate yes man.

    lol Jim always gave his real opinion. He never played the corporate game. How can you put a corporate guy over a teak tough honest as a day is long bloke like Jim?

    He was a bit biased towards Scottish fighters but he was right behind every Brit when fighting for European and World Titles.

    People on here seem to not rate him much, i rate him super high, but regardless of that and how you see him, he is 100% a huge upgrade to Mike Costello, the man who could make Hagler Hearns seem boring, he had the worst commentary voice out of the lot.

    You rate him "super high" (super as an adverb - on the Brit forum, really? lol) because of the "liftoff for AJ" moment. I am sure that still gives you goosebumps, Phil.

    He has a great voice but jesus christ he either can't or is told not to call a fight properly. Also he has things he says every single fight. When a fighter glances to his corner even for a split second he starts screaming.

    You're just trying to be different and 'niche', just because the 'casuals' love him, you think of yourself as a 'super hardcore', and 'super hardcore's' can't agree with the casuals so you have to just tell yourself you don't like him when deep down you do, sad life really.
