That question most certainly occurred to Adamek as he watched a tape of the Haye fight earlier this week. The power punching Pole did not hesitate to call out the new champion: “David, if you want to fight against somebody who punches back at your face—not the empty air—you know where to find me,” Adamek declared. “You call yourself the best heavyweight fighter in the world after running scared for the whole fight with Nikolai Valuev? It’s not even funny.”
After criticizing Haye for an exhibition “worthy of the London Marathon trophy” vs. Valuev, Adamek went on to say, “Talking is cheap. People don’t care how big you are during the press conferences. They want to see a man in the ring. I never say too much before my fights and my opponents are not saying a lot afterwards because they are knocked down. You say you want to be a people’s champion. If so, fight me. That’s what the people want.”
“There’s no doubt that Haye-Adamek would be a “pick-em” fight,” Kathy Duva of Main Events, Adamek’s co-promoter, said. “It’s been a very long time since the boxing public has seen the kind of action in a heavyweight title fight that they enjoyed before the advent of the Super Heavyweights who dominate the division these days.” She continued, “When a heavyweight title fight is exciting, there is always a ‘smaller’ guy in the ring pressing the action. Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Jack Dempsey and, of course, Evander Holyfield, to name a few, all fought in their primes under 215 pounds. The next great heavyweight will come from the Cruiserweight division and we believe that he will be Tomasz Adamek.”

so adamek knocks out a fat, searching for a pay check golota and he thinks he's the greatest thing since cheese? the guy needs to get a reality check. haye's performance may not have been all thats cracked up to be, but his victory is nothing to talk about either.

Acually a fight that looks good and you are right one I would prefer to watch over Ruiz or Oleg. Adamek has the same claim that Haye did for a tile fight with his win over Barrett....Adamek was a crusier champ as well

Ademek should fight Valuev next on the undercard of Haye - Ruiz. Let him try and look good against Valuev

Beating Adamek is pointless for Haye.

What's the point in coming to the heavyweight division to beat up a blown up cruiserweight??

I wonder how Adamek would have fought against Valuev. He probably would have stood toe to toe and have Valuev out of there with the first combination by the sounds of things.

Where are all the folk who were quick enough to deride Haye for talking smack as he was unproven at heavyweight. Unless of course we think that a win over an escaped old mental patient is better than what Haye has accomplished???

now we can watch all the other HW's call Haye out and when he (Haye) doesnt fight them we will say he is "DUCKING" just like the Haye fans said everytime Haye opened his mouth about another fighter yet the fight didnt happen:hey:yep

I think Valuev summed it up well: "I dont feel like a loser. I didnt lose in boxing. I lost in track and fields that I was never that good at anyways"

Adamek has better wins at CW than Haye in Cunningham, Banks and Oneill Bell.

Doubt it. I think he would fight his fight, throw combination then move out. He can take a punch so he would be prepared for that. Valuev doesnt punch that hard anyways and he is slow so he would catch most punches on his gloves anyways.

    Adamek speaks the truth.

such a shame haye tards are so delusional and don't see the light on what he was / is doing.

that "performance" haye put on was a ****ing disgrace and not even worth mentioning anymore cause all great HW champions throughout history faught thier ****ing asses off to win a title and have a oppertunity like this (Lewis, Tyson, Bowe, Holyfield, etc..) yet this guy dances in the ring like a fairy without landing much of anything, vs. Valuev and he thinks hes the next thing since sliced cheese.

ruiz and holy did a better job in a loising effort than haye did in a winning effort and you guys just ****in love it dont you!

as far as the fight goes, id like to see it by Summer.
