so, what we have here is a guy who has just beaten a fighter whos brief peak was, what, ten years ago..a fighter who always falls at the big hurdles, a fighter with suspect psychological issues belittling the performance of another fighter who, whilst he certainly never shone in his performance, beat an active world champion a man who has always boxed ugly but been in shape, a man who has beaten all but one of his opponenet, dodgy decisions outstanding....

adamek beat a shell of a never was great heavyweight...(and im a golota fan...)..haye boxed to a gameplan..(without his big equaliser for most of a dull fight...)..he seems to me to be a realist..he knew what he had to do to negate valuevs assets and he figured out how to do it...and he delivered....hayes accomplishment>adameks accomplishment at this point...

i do however agree that haye vs adamek would be a great fight at some point if they both keep winning...a many ahve said, good to see a couple of in shape, motivated heavyweights with the potential for huge excitement..

Golota was Adamek's debut. ppl were saying same about Haye re the Bonin fight.

It's not really fair to compare Adamek-Golota and Haye v Valuev, as Haye was in his 3rd fight at the weight and got his BIG opportunity. If Adamek gets a shot at Haye, then this is A's equivalent big chance.

I think Adamek's Feb opponent will be announced on Monday? He's had his gimmick fight, felt the extra weight, now he has to get the heavyweight rounds and the heavyweight ranking. I hope he does it. He's a proper world class fighter, has done things the hard way, draws big crowds in America and Poland.

  3. would be a good fight to make, but not at the moment

Agreed! This would revive the seemingly dying heavyweight division.

This is the kind of thing that pisses me off. Oh Adamek should fight Arreola to prove himself, but Haye doesnt have to, he can get a shot right away. People dont realize that Adamek has better wins at CW than Haye.

who is adamek fighting in feb?

to both men's credit, both look faster and more purposeful than the last generation of cruisers who got fat and slow and demolished their own careers.

hopefully the circumstances turn out right for them to fight each other. can't see it happening just yet, but things change and there are many interesting angles for this fight, should haye not succeed in getting fights with K2s and if he's in need of "inventing"/manufacturing a big fight.

i would just hope that adamek wouldn't come to the UK for the fight, because if he got shaken early and a british ref panicked and jumped in as they so often do...i think adamek's fight with jon banks - where he weaherred the storm, took his time, chopped his man down when it was time - could be a great preparation should he ever fight haye.
