The heavyweight fight between Wladimir Klitschko and Tomasz Adamek appears to be on.

Adamek’s promoter, Kathy Duva, said Friday morning that her fighter and Klitschko “seem to have ironed out our differences” for one of the best-possible heavyweight matchups in September.

“I think we’re there,” she said as she was reviewing what she called the final draft of a contract. “We still have cross our Ts and dot our Is, though.”

How do you see this playing out. Adamek is by far my favourite Big Man of the sport. I'm a Brit and whilst i cheer Haye on. His recent antics I couldn't care less about the guy now. It's all about Adamek for me.

I'd love to see Adamek vs Haye too.

no and for good reason. Adamek would beat haye i feel.

That woud be a great fight. Problem is Haye don't want to be in great fights, he wants easy wins for as much money as possible.

no doubt Klit would be favourite. But Adamak has a chance. He is one tough mofo.
Klit will be a big favourite. But i'l be cheering on Adamek.

After all Wlad's main weaknes is his Cheeeen.

I like Adamek a lot but a good big man usually beats a good small man and I think Wlad will just use his size to keep Adamek at bay along with that effective (but boring) jab.

Haye vs Adamek would be a great fight but, for me, Haye would be a bit too quick for the Pole and probably knock him out in the later rounds.

I don't think so. Haye never fought with someone like Adamek. I mean someone so fast, so though and in prime...
All his fight are with journeymans, past-prime fighters or bums...

IMO even Arreola would knocked out Haye easily...

Wlad vs Adamek is gonna be really good fight. Better than Klitschko vs Haye, because Haye doesn't have balls and after few jabs he would cry because Klitschko smashed his sweety nose...

A lot boxing fans are talking that Adamek doesn't have good punch. I think that it's not like that. Guys like Estrada or Arreola are really difficult to knocked out. Grant is big man, and since fight with Guinn we don't know anything about his current chin ;) Also "big man" is problem, because Adamek couldn't hit him really hard.
I'm not saying that he is puncher who can knocked out with one punch, but He is more combo-puncher and after 3-4 hits he can knocked down almost everyone...

I like this fight. If this takes place in Poland I will probably be there.

However I am sad that Haye doesnt want to fight Adamek. This is the best (for us fans to watch) possible fight in HW division and one of the most interesting match-ups generally in boxing now.

Thats true. However Holyfield (small) fought good fights against Bowe and Lewis (big). I know that Adamek aint Holyfield but either Klitschko isnt Lewis or Bowe too. It could be more competetive fight than most people think. Tomasz's speed is very underrated and he is probably the most mobile fighter in the division now. He is busy, has good stamina, chin, heart and is determined. He only isnt strong and big enough to seriously hurt big guys.

Adamak vs Kilitchko nearly a done deal?

I thought it was a done deal already? There was a thread about it a week ago and another a few days ago.
Don't think Adamek has much of a chance, but at least it's a "real" HW fight.

i couldnt find a thread on it, so i thought i'd start a topic cos interested in hearing peoples thoughts.
Agreed its the best heavyweight fight in a long time. Got to wait till september but ooking forward to it.

This reminds me of Marquez/Mayweather. Where i thought the fight would be more competetive due to the warrior nature, durability and skil of the smaller man.

I fear that this could be painful to watch as the fight goes on. I do hope i'm wrong though.

Adamek will get beaten like Chagaev, Ibragimov and Chamber's in my opinion. A really late tko, or a MD. This is a mismatch, unless Thomasz has been working on some proper punching power...

has this actually been announced yet as signed sealed and delivered?.

i think Haye needs to snatch adamak as his best possible "mandatory"
