Why doesn't Adamek retire. What's the point of continuing one's career if he ducks a HW eliminator?

i dont want to excuse Adameks decision not to fight Pulev, but he said IBF refused to confirm that, he would get mandatory if he beats Pulev.
in that case ,how can one call this eliminator? high risk, low money, no mandatory reward fight for Adamek, cant blame him

this will be on NBC, made in cooperation with Adamek's former promoter Main Events, apparently Curtis Stevens will also be on the undercard

    Lets look at the statistics

Tomasz Adamek won the WBC 175 title in 2005 - lost to current champion Chad Dawson

He then moved up and beat Steve Cunningham for the IBF Cruiserweight title also beating Jonothan Banks and then moves up again to Heavyweight

He beat Former Champ Andrew Golota (all be it a shot version) and top contender Chris Arreola before losing a world title shot to the 6'7 Vitali Klitschko (Adamek is only 6'1) giving up a 6 inch height advantage and a hefty weight advantage also. needless to say he stuck in there despite being out matched.

Then he goes and beats Eddie Chambers, another top contender (115-113 on my card) due to Chambers idolness and put together more punches, Americans just love to cry robbery

Finally he beat Steve cunningham on the cards a second time, sadly i didnt see the entire fight so i cant judge whether it was or wasnt a robbery

    won 48 (KO 29) + lost 2 (KO 1) + drawn 0 = 50

6 foot 1 and 36 years old campaigning in a modern heavyweight division, Adamek is the small man at this weight and can make enough money fighting a rematch with Jonothan Banks or fighting Seth Mitchell on HBO instead of fighting the over rated in my eyes Pulev over in germany for peanuts

2 weight world champion and a title contender at heavyweight, Adamek is not the greatest of all time but hes a fighter none the less and he can fight who he wants as he has no belt to obligate him to fight anyone else, the fact is he is still fighting decent opposition at a weight where most guys have a distinct advantage over him

    Seriously ESB get a grip

  9. He hopes for a payday against Wlad .. but that's unrealistic, he will never fight Wlad. Adamek is in a deep crisis .. lost his last fights clearly, caught by the Police, after he did an car accident, drunken, went to jail for a night or two ..

Adamek has to face Szpilka, for his last big chance to earn money, getting K.O'ed by Szpilka and than he can retire.
Then he will ask himself: "Why did I not retire earlier .. "

He got his ass kicked by a fat, one-armed, featherfisted Eddie Chambers. Everyone knows it except for the Polish or anti-Americans here. It should have been a very clear decision of either 8-4, or 7-5 if you're being generous to Adamek. GTFOH with that ****.:lol::lol:

Adamek shouldn't retire. he can still make a good living and is a good draw. ****, he draws a lot more paying customers than most of the HBO/Showtime cards. The Prudential Center in Newark is a decent sized building.
