Adamek beating Vitali would be bigger then Ortiz and Marquez beating May and Pac

This will be in the level of Douglas beating Tyson. Adamek beating Vitali is simply unexpected.

Manny & Floyd are both better than Vitali p4p

 

For some posters here Adamek beating Vitali would be bigger upset than Douglas beating Tyson. They think Adamek is still the same fighter who lost to Chad Dawson. However Adamek's chances arent that bad. He has the speed and skills to beat Vitali. Considering that Vitali is getting slower with the age, I think that Adamek has a very good chance to beat Vitali.

On the other hand Ortiz is in his prime now and he is Mayweathers size. There is always a punchers chance in such fight.

JMM already had 2 tough fights with Pac. However I think that he was cherrypicked for this one. As Pac is now bigger than Marquez, he should win convincingly this time.

That being said, I think that Adamek beating Vitali will be bigger achievement, as he is facing much bigger fighter (30 pounds heavier and 5 inches taller), who hasnt lost a round since many fights and has never been knocked down or out.

 

Definitely they are higher ranked in pound for pound rankings, but Vitali weights more pounds. Adamek can beat both Floyd and Manny at one night. I guess that you dont get the whole p4p thing. The size difference mattters in such rankings.

 

@ confused Goral backers wanting it both ways. They want to believe he has a good chance but also want it to be Tokyo all over again so he can finally get the credit (plus interest) that's largely eluded him since moving up.

 

The thread title is misleading. It can mean both "bigger surprise" or "bigger achievement". In my opinion it wouldnt be that big surprise at all, I think that Adameks chances are good. It would be a really big achievement though. Bigger achievement than Ortiz beating Floyd (same size) or JMM beating Pac (similar size)
