Mac would most likley pose a bigger challange than Gunn, but he would still get knocked out imo. I think the only reason Gunn was a choice is that he acually is from NJ and has a small fanbase or so, so no doubt the arena will be packed. I hope somone like Majewski or Pawel Wolak would be on the undercard tho, that would be awesome. And Showtime has sand in their vaginas. They are so ****in ******ed. They show fights like Tarver - Dawson but they wont agree to a Adamek - Johnson fight. The ****..
Point of veiw depends on point of sitting. Sorry dude, I cannot agree with you. Maybe if this fight take place in England, then this fight would be more interesting for European fans, but US market is the most important and more available for fans. Maccarinelli could not make the hall crwoded. It's obvious that if Adamek fights in July it's gonna be in Prudential Center and then you have to ask yourself, could Maccarinelli's fanbase fullfill this hall like Bobby Gunn's ? Imo, no. It will be a nice entertaining fight anyway, a KO = KO, so why he's supposed to across the Atlatic to be beaten up, just for cash ? It's not worth of it.
NO ONE is saying Enzo would stand a chance against Adamek (except maybe Flint ) just that he's better than Gunn whom he knocked out in a round.
Is Gunn even a draw? I can't imagine he'd bring in more than 100 fans. It wouldn't suprise me if more Welsh fans came over to see Macca. Even if Gunn is a draw, I think you'd get much more interest in the fight considering Macca is a former cruiserweight champion of the world and a knockout artist. I'm sure a lot of Adamek's fans will realise a fight with Gunn is nonsense, whereas, even though he'd get beat, a fight with Maccarinelli is interesting.
No. If Gunn is official (last I'd heard it wasn't), then it means that they couldn't find an opponent that a network would pick up, and it will probably be televised in Poland only.
Well, it's all the past. The thing Gunn is from New Jersey can bring people to hall to see their guy fighting, nice marketing is the base and I think is viable. It's always easier to convience people to come and see their homie in action than dude who's been beating up lately so badly. I think... ps. Showtime has got sand in their vaginas indeed.
Right. Unless (and this is possible) Showtime is that desperate to get him on TV, No network touches this.
Different situations. Dawson was their prodigy and Tarver was coming off a few fights on their network. Both were well rooted there. It was also at a more prestigious weight class.
Light Heavy is one of the worst divisions out there right now lool but yea i get it still, showtime have sand in their vahinas. and yes i meant to type "h" not "g"
What I stated was my opinion, trying to put this defence into context. Not complicated either. :blood I don't think we principally disagree, but happy to discuss...
O tempora o mores! Wasn't Gunn one of Enzo Mac's career defining fights? And wasn't Enzo Mac one of Haye's? And isn't Haye the man who's gonna dominate heavy (at least according to himself, his mum and a group of faifthful acolytes)? Clearly that must mean Gunn is in a league above Pudwill, right?
