Good for Bobby! I give him all the credit in the world for stepping in for Godfrey against the #1 cruiserweight in boxing. I do not understand. Why not give Godfrey or Flores **** for backing down instead you give Gunn **** for stepping up. Atleast he sticks by his word. He said he wanted Adamek so when offered he took it.
I understand the rebuttal but I was suprised at the Calzaghe reference. It appeared as if you were using Calzaghe and his period of aimless meander through the cans of the super middleweight division as if I would defend on the basis that I'm Welsh. :good Calzaghe was derided in some quaters so in my opinion it's only fair that Adamek cop some flack for taking on Gunn - a guy who was blasted out by Enzo Mac in a one sided battering.
No. It was a punching bag put infront of Enzo who duly walked right through him. :deal His fights against Braithwaite, Dominguez, Hobson and Scott would be some of his defining fights.
I have a different take on this fight. I think Adamek is entitled to an easy defense PROVIDED that he takes on a big time opponent in the fight after this exhibition. He won the title in a very tough fight with Steve Cunningham and then defended it six weeks later against another very tough fighter in Jonathan Banks. After the glorified sparring with Gunn, then he needs RJJ, Hopkins, Glenn Johnson, or an up coming fighter like Huck, Licina, or Palacios.
At least it should be more exciting while it lasts than the snoozefest Adamek had against Gary Gomez on Friday Night Fights.
Pit Bull ? :rofl BTW It's not official yet. www.tomaszadamek.com.pl doesn't show anything, so maybe there's some surprise .. hope so ;D
