let's get a few things straight:

1.Dawson will ALWAYS outbox Adamek. Can CW Adamek KO Dawson? of course.

2. Diaconu presents no problems to Dawson whatsoever. that flat-footed plodder would be beaten to the punch during every encounter and be taught a boxing lesson for 12 rounds straight.

If Dawson felt AD was no threat, he would have simply defeated him, made a career-best purse (at that time) and kept his belt. But he didn't. Why? Fear.

Dawson didnt duck Diaconu, he chose to take on 2 high profile fighters in Johnson, and Tarver. guys who are more known in America and more likely to get him noticed for beating. Diaconu, is a nobody, who we'll never hear about for the rest of his career.

 

Of course -- every boxer wants to turn down career-high paydays and drop their belts when they know they can beat a guy. Sure, definitely.

At some point, you have to exchange. Pascal held up through sheer will. Dawson? We'll probably never know if he could have. But we do know this -- after the first time Dawson agreed to fight AD he didn't want to find out, either.

 

Career high pay days mean little when Dawson is trying to shore up his fan base and future prospects, which include fighting the biggest high profile fighters at the time. And thats Johnson and Tarver. Are you seriously insinuating Dawson would duck Diaconu in favor of 2 more accomplished and skilled opponents after just beating a similar but more skilled and stronger fighter in Adamek. atsch

Please. Pascal held up because he was simply the better boxer and Diaconu doesnt punch has hard as you give him credit for, we can see that in his KO percentage, which doenst exactly say slugger.

Pascal was able to dodge most of Diaconu's punches with his hands at his waste. And he's supposed to trouble a faster natural lightheavyweight in Dawson? Please.

 

I have to say, I'm not a big fan of the Rocky Bull13 account making the same lame post regarding the cruiserweight division eighteen times.

I liked that gimmick better when it was called koki kameda.
