Back and forth non-stop action, only 2 times during the fight there was a clinch, the right guy got the nod, but a rematch is mandatory, Adamek has a head of rock..
That fight has my vote! Man... Adamek's chin is concrete! People talked about how Steve clinches all the time and guess what he made it an exciting fight. No clinch and banged it out with Adamek. Great fight between both fighters! FIGHT OF THE YEAR!:happy
Agreed it was one of those type of fight's that your scared someone is gonna end up in the hospital, Adamek needs to learn better defense or he will have a short careeratschthe guy has a chin of stone..
If it was more high profile, it would take FOTY honors no question IMO. This was just about as dramatic and unpredictable a fight as I've ever seen.
It was funny when the ring announcer called it FOTY immediately after the fight. That was kinda bull****. Anyway, great fight. Cunningham was very much in it, both men came to fight and not to hug (Wlodarczyk-Cunningham 1 anyone?)

True but 2006 didnt have a lot of great fights like this year. Izzy/Rafa 3, Cotto/Margarito, and JMM/Pac 2 are all bigger fights than that and imo better than that one but like I said great fight non the less.
