Ya -- I don't give Haye much of a shot with either Klistcho. 168 lanquished in obscurity for a long time, and now it's a pretty hot division, so maybe cruiser will eventually heat up. I still think we need it.
It really did, and amazingly it all happened pretty quickly too. I think one of the biggest obstacles preventing the cruiserweight division from gaining interest is so many of these guys are so inactive. Huck might take the #1 spot on activity alone. Maybe the cruiserweights need a super 6 to draw interest as well.
Man this fight was definately FOTY. I remember watching USS start every fkin round with a cannon shot of a 1-2. EVERY ROUND and it landed! Great fight.
Great great fight. That year there were tons of great fights and this one was shuffled down towards the bottom. Very underrated fight, great action, great atmosphere. Just a great fight all the way around.
the big networks like showtime and hbo not wanting to stage the rematch are ****ing fools. one of the biggest flaws in boxing in my opinion.
Quality fight. When Haye had beaten Mormeck i would of liked to have seen a Cunningham v Haye fight, would have been a toss up imo. Cunningham was the best cruiserweight out there apart from Haye.
200 pounds is too much for Cruiserweight, that 200 limit reinforces the belief that those fighting in this division are 2nd rate Heavyweights. Take it back down to 190.
