I'm saying I miss the days when people climbed the ladder to get the belt. Adamek by choice is going up the ladder beating guys one by one. Like I said Haye did what he had too got a belt. I'm not ripping on Haye I just wish he had cleaned his way through the division before fighting for a belt. Thats why I like what Adamek is doing. In todays system fighters can move up into immediate titles but Adamek is taking a tough road.
When holy moved up Tyson was champ with all the marbles. Beating Barrett, Valuev then Ruiz is the same as making gradual steps up to the true champs. Also, put plainly, Haye had clearly become the number one cruiserweight, Adamek wasn't clearly number one in the same way. Finally, Haye is simply a better fighter than Adamek and doesn't need to waste his best years on opposition that just aren't near his level. Haye is a slightly small heavy but he's a legit heavy nevertheless. Adamek should really be a cruiser at heaviest.
Shame he wouldn't get near it... Wlad is the most accurate puncher in the division, he's the fighter I'd most worry about for Haye
it was about Haye Adamek was clear number one in Cw , beated easly first former champ since Holyfield and Cunningham who beated Jones,Huck,Wlodarczyk - three world champion and get The ring bell what else you want?? Macarinneli who was destroyed by Lebedev and Afolabi ?? **** Cw, this divison is crap in USA
but his face looks serious which sells for itself while all euro bum level guys looks a bit gaysh (see Wlad and Vitalia for example
Is the OP serious? He would rather have Haye fight lesser opponents instead of just moving up and making **** happen. You want to know why Adamek is taking the long way to the title? Because he's smaller and his initial ranking wasn't as high as Haye's.
It wont happen. If he beats Ruiz, King has a percentage on his next 2 fights. What do you think King will want for the 2 fights he has left to make money out of Haye? Meehan and a Valuev rematch or something that will make far far more money in the US like A Klit brother or Adamek? Business will ensure that Haye does not have to defend the title 3 times against shitty opponents.
Of course not. Adamek probably wont get one. He'll take a hiding from Arreola. "Mr Underwhelming" however, was not only the unified Cruiserweight champion but moved up to beat Valuev (a guy neither Klitschko has been willing to fight yet) to claim a portion of the heavyweight title, take on John Ruiz (a much better fighter at this point than ****ing Golota) and is likely to take on a Klitschko soon after. Hardly underwhelming now, is it?
1. What is underwhelming is that he ducked the true champs, the Klit Bros because he wanted the softer opponent in Valuev. 2. If you are insinuating that either Klit has ducked Valuev, you must be crazy. I'm sure either of the two of them would love to cherry pick that belt and add it to the collection. 3. I agree that you should have to fight contenders in the division before you can get a title shot. Jumping around for these big money fights is hurting the sport because it screws the guys who have been working their way up slowly, earning it. 4. King knows that Hayes only chance against a Klit is a punchers chance, and a small one at that. There is more money to be made in the longevity of keeping the belt safe than risking it in a fight with the Klits. 5. Adamek vs. Haye would be a good fight. Either of those guys vs. Arreolla would be good, and I see them both beating him. 6. Adamek, Haye, Valuev, etc... None of those guys are at the level of the Klit brothers. If you want to hate on them, cool, but the only way these "exciting title fights" can continue is for the pretenders to avoid them. Don King is well aware of this. 7. I see Haye losing to Ruiz. I just have a gut feeling about it.
Yeah, bullshitting as loud as he could calling out the champ, then taking on Valuev is underwhelming, so is fighting utter garbage from the last millenium John Ruiz. It's obvious he doesn't want anything to do with a challenging opponent. Big talk, little action.
