Yes he is. He has heavy fists, a great chin, and plenty of heart.

The skill level between Paul and Tomek were pretty much 50/50, with Adamek getting a little slight edge over Paul.

Paul has never proved himself much in boxing because he had to retire early cause of continuous problems with his nervous system. The guy was a Mai Thai world champion and a top 5 contender in the LHW division in boxing who gave one of the best champions today(Adamek) a real tough test.

To this day Adamek says that Briggs was his toughest opponent and fight. The man could fight and even had some technical abilities. So if you even seen both of the fights, which i doubt you probably did you're probably just boxrec-ing as everyone does, you would know that Briggs was a pretty tough customer and good boxer....just a shame everyone tries to write this win off just because Briggs didn't really proove himself furthur in boxing.

Thats not what i was implying, you doofus.

It doesn't matter if Ulrich is a never was or never KOed anyone decent, but did you see the bombs Ulrich landed on Adamek? Some of them shots were extremly well placed and could of KD'd or maybe even KO'd a good amount of LHW's.

Sure Ulrich isn't really good and he got his ass whooped, but he did make it competitive at times and landed some great shots and Adamek didn't bulge.

And on with that "never was" comment, sure... its easy to say that now... But at that time Ulrich was comming off 2 big wins over Rocco and Branco.

So what if he doesnt have much power, the shots he was landing on Adamek could of troubled a lot of fighters at cruiser. Some of them punches were some pretty flush, hard shots that only the best could take.

Thats the only reason why Adamek has a chance?

lol dude please. Adamek throws great combinations, somthing Haye hasnt shown in his last 2 fights, has decent and much improoved defence, and a take one give two type of mentality, while Haye likes to back away when he is hit and try to cover up. Whats going to happen when Tomek gets that oppertunity and Haye is wobbling all over the ring why Adamek is landing flush combinations on that weak ass chin? lawl

Bell was a undisputed champ as well and beat JMM more convincingly the first time than Haye did. JMM had help from the timekeeper to beat Bell, typical French.

Bell wasn't at his best when he faught Adamek, sure ill agree to that. But neither was JMM when he faught Haye. Watch the Bell fights and see how fatigued JMM was, and tell me with a straight face that he wasn't shot

Adamek is the truth, check out more of his fights. I've always been a fan of his though always picked against him since his loss to Dawson, maybe I overlooked his inability to make weight in that one. Adamek has done nothing but shock me, even as his fan. I picked against him going in to fight Bell, Cunningham, Banks and even had doubts about the Golota fight but didn't pick against him there.

Adamek is a serious force, got to check more of his fights. The guy is a seriously talented and always comes 100%. It's fair to say he's one of those few rare guys that are prepared to die in the ring if they have to.

Adamek is not a fighter to be called overrated. his fans speak lunacy at times, but like you said, given todays heavies, he could win a title, it just won't be against Wlad or Vitali. Could he beat Haye...I doubt it, but he has a chance... i still want to see the Cunningham rematch that Adamek ran from lol...

Don't be an ass all your life. Adamek didn't run from a Cunn rematch. HBO or Showtime were not interested in putting up the $$$ for a rematch (go figure, more assholes) so Adamek, wanting big $$$ fights said screw you, moved to HW & made a killing fighting Golota in Poland. He's now on his way to the HW Title.

Adamek fears no man. Believe it.

    Well said:good

It's amazing how all of a sudden Valuev gets a ton of respect to justify Haye's awful performance. This is a guy who had the nerve to call Wlad and Vitali boring fighters. Wasn't Haye the guy who called Wlad's fight with Sultan Ibragimov disgraceful?

Haye's performance was so boring, he made john ruiz look like arturo gatti last saturday!!

Your not understanding what Im saying either. Im not saying any of those fighters dont have decent power, its just that they pale in comparison to haye. And haye has better timing then any of them. Haye is a puncher/boxer who places his wide swings with perfect percision.

I did see both fights of briggs adamek. And i was aware of pauls past as a muay thai champ. But being muay thai champ dosent mean **** in boxing. Alot of top kickboxers try to make it in boxing but they get ****ed up in the process.

To the fights, to be honest those fights dont really show adameks power or skills in a positive light...... They do showcase his chin and his heart, as he took big shots and kept coming back.

But when you have a fight, when both guys are landing alot of hard shots...... and neither man is getting kded, then that dosent make either guys power look good. And getting hit in the face alot dosent make your defense look good either

I know cuningham or ulrich's "big shots" could have hurt maybe 90 percent of the division, but thats not what we are talking about here "doofus". Were talking about the elite, and thats adamek and haye

on to the fight.... yea adamek has good combos, but he has to be set to throw his combos. And haye well be using lateral movment and boxing him. And having a take 2 to land 1 will not work on haye. Because haye dosent throw punches and stand their admiring his work... he moves. Adamek will get hit, and throw punches at air :good

Adameks chance is, he makes it through the early haye storm, haye slows down and makes a mistake. And due to hayes suspect chin, adamek can pounce. So yea, his only chance is if his power effects haye in a devestating way.....

You act as if adamek can outbox haye or somthing :blood

lets face it, adamek is were he is today because of hard training, his heart, and his chin. Hes not some super athletic master class boxer

Adamek is not even close to being the most over rated fighter on this forum.

    Here's a list of the top 3.

Abraham: He has a win over a damaged Miranda and a win over JT's corpse, and we're suppose to believe he's destined to be an ATG.

Williams: His best wins are Margarito at 147, and a worn out Winky at 160, and we already see people declaring him the GOAT.

Froch: Carl the Clumsy is a knock out waiting to happen. He's so easy to hit that you'd have to pratice missing in order to connect less than 40%. And yet, we have a ton of people picking him to win the sauerland six.

Adamek is an exciting fighter with a decent resume'. He's rated right where he should be.

Of course that Adamek cant outbox Haye and vice versa. They arent that kind of fighters.
I can see it in this way that the longer fight goes the bigger chance for Adamek to KO Haye. I would say that Haye has got edge over Adamek and may KO him in rounds 1-4, on the other hand Adamek would have big chance to finish the fight in 9-12 and rounds 5-8 may be even for both. For me its 50/50. Even if this go to the distance I still dont favor any fighter.

Totally agree. 5 % of talent and 95% of hard work and character.

The Mighty Adamek shall inevitably rule the heavyweight division and will ultimately usurp Sugar Ray Robinson as the #1 P4P fighter of all-time.

Haye is not one of my favourite fighters. I simply noticed a lot of Haye Adamek threads which is why I referenced Haye in original post.

I think Adamek loses badly to all current champions.

It's interesting though that clearly Adamek fans only want Haye title fight and there was another thread saying he was fighting Toney in Feb. Is he a heavyweight or is he not?

why is this his desired path to title. Does he lack confidence in fighting larger men who still have a heartbeat.

I hope whatever he does he is involved in many exciting fights because I am a fan of all exciting fighters, and if he does beat Haye good for him.
