Prime Jack Sharkey was a better puncher and fighter than Adamek..Hit with more velocity, but Adamek has more heart I believe,
I was surprised that Adamek carried his bulked up weight with very good handspeed and leg movement...Most fighters lose this when they move up in weight class, but not he...

There are some similarities..superficially he does fight somewhat like Sharkey..but as Burt says, with deficits compared to Sharkey as noted, and on the plus side, he's not as tempermental, and again, as noted, more heart and perhaps more durable.

I see more of Tunney. Adamek is a well skilled fighter with pretty quick hands and feet. He doesn't have much of a chance vs the K-Bros, but he could defeat Povetkin, or Haye. I want to see more of Adamek, but after last nights performance he is a top 6 ranked heavy in April 2010.

I don't think he can beat Haye or the Klitschko brothers.

If he wants a belt he will have to go through one of the three.

I do think Adamek can beat Haye. Haye does not take the best punch, and has had stamina related issues before. Haye's defense to me is average.

He's a fine boxer with a fine chin. I think that a fight with Haye is close and I would love to see him fight Vitali, personally.

Haye has the speed and reflexes to nulify the advantages that Admek brings to the table in this weight class.

I also question wheter Admek hits hard enough to capitalise on his weakneses.

I aso think that Hayes unorthodox defence is better than you give him credit for.

If an old, past it Ruiz could land regularly and easy on Haye than the faster, more precise and better timed punches of Adamek would do so too.

I´d love to see this fight. I think Adamek can stop Haye mid to late, I can also see Haye taking out Adamek early. 50/50 fight imo. But before this one I´d like to see Wlad-Haye and Adamek-Povetkin. Adamek-Chambers would be a great fight too.

Sharkey only had 15 or 16 KO's in his entire career although hand troubles added to it .. the way he holds his hands and jabs and moves reminds me a lot of the Sharkey that fought Dempsey ... I'm a bit shocked about the cries of Sharkey having a heart deficet ... he showed tremendous heart against Louis, getting up time and again from a frightful beating ... Sharkey may have lacked mental strength but not courage ...

True. But Adamek is faster, more precise and I think hits harder than Ruiz. I don´t think the tradeoff would be in Haye´s favour in this fight. Haye until now only fought old, past it fighters at hw who were slow, sloppy and plodding. And even against these types he had problems. Got knocked down by Barret, running scared of Valuev and getting backed up by Ruiz. Haye is good, he has some tools but I think he looked better than he really is due to the opposition he faced.

Yep, I agree. In the Top5 at hw are now two giants, one small hw, one former cw and one former lhw. Should tell the people who go on and on about size a little bit.

Now that you mentioned it, yes, I do. Adamek even looks a little bit like Sharkey.

I like Adamek. He and Haye are the best things to happen at HW in ages. I think a fight between them would be awesome. Haye doesn't have Adamek's cheen, and he's certainly not a highlander, so I think it would be a toss up.
