Well he was massively weight drained at LHW, seemed to find his niche in the cruiserweight division, and looked absolutely pants in his last fight against estrada, so i think he's a natural cruiserweight, and there's really nothing dodgy about putting on 47lbs at all.
To be fair, the fact that he went from 174 to 197¾ in 4 months shows that his walking around weight was most probably 190+ when cutting to light heavy. Hence it would only be 32lbs+ in that situation. That's still a lot of weight, clearly on PED's.
Pac gained 41 pounds at weigh ins from the age of 16 through to about 14 years later and that was supposedly suspicious.... Adamek at the age of 30 has gained 47 pounds in 3 years...
you've convinced me, so when are we lynching the ******* But then again Arreola gains 47lbs each time he has a meal, so maybe its not that suspicious at all.
You shouldn't read too much into it. Adamek was on an extreme diet from the very beginning, and only drained down to 175 for his title LHW fights, which happened a total 9 times out of 41 fights. Given the amount of weight a fighter puts on between weigh-in and fight - Kelly Pavlik put on 18lbs on Saturday - it's very possible that Adamek fought around 190-195lbs in his last few LHW fights. Add easy 10 pounds that he didn't have to lose with diet with no weight limit at HW, and we are at about 205 pounds without a singe extra weight-training session or change of meal. There's only 15 pounds left. It's not that he started at 130lbs then moved all the way up to 175.
He's ok. He's an HW, which means he is in no danger of beating anyone that destroyed Malignaggi and won't make him cry about it.
47 is exaggerated, clearly he was cutting weight already prior. That number is more likely in the 20's
