I agree but they also are saying PAC doesn't really work out like a "Normal" fighter. He's pretty much known to work out at an incredible rate which will have him burning more calories than the average professional fighter. His intake of calories are well documented and is up there with the likes of other athletes who are operating above and beyond their peers.....Lance armstrong and Michael phelps were known to eat as much as 12,000 calories a day and with their kind of work rate they easily burned it off and was necessary to energize them through the kind of extreme routines they endured.
I see your point....it's not a struggle in the way a fighter has to starve himself to ensure he makes weight....Manny is on the other side of the spectrum...he can easily make weight...it's just wanting to put on ENOUGH weight for fight night so that he's not TOO LIGHT against men who are natrually bigger than himself. That's actually a problem many lighter fighters would love to have.
Manny isn't struggling to maintain weight. Until Manny doesn't even to make 147 anymore then he's struggling, but until he stops weighing over 147 on fight night. He's not struggling.
He's on PEDs. If we can convince around 10 more people to agree we can lynch him tonight while the townspeople are asleep. So start posting things up.
In December 1990 he weighed 175 for his fight with Danny Stonewalker and in November 1991 he weighed 231 for his fight with Bobby Crabtree, thus 56 lbs. Actually he gained 38 lbs in 4 months going from 175 in December 1990 to 213 for his heavy weight debut in April 1991.
Ahh. My bad. I looked at boxrec wrong. That's a lot of weight. But 175-213 isn't that bad in 4 months considering that he probably was cutting 10-15lbs. Let's assume 10. 185-213 28lbs. But 4 months, 28lbs of mass (muscle and fat) isn't unheard of. Unless you know that Moorer looked completely fit at HW for that fight, which in fights that I've seen him, he always looked to have a least a 7-8% body fat on him.
Random blood test his ass. And andre berto. Oh and Malignagi. Don't forget FROCH. VIC DARCHINYAN for sure.
at light heavyweight, he was about 15-20 pounds underweight. at cruiserweight, he was comfortable. at heavyweight, he's about 20 pounds over his best weight (overmuscled).
Good post, but I do not totally agree. When Adamek fought at CW, he weighed in the day of fight quite more than 200 pounds. In his last CW fight it was 207. So weighing 215-220 he sure isnt overmuscled with 20 pounds. Not more than 10 pounds I would say.
