I agree. That said purses won't go up until public opinion changes about cruiserweights. When people stop looking at them as mini heavyweights who can't compete with the big boys and as legit fighters, the people will come in and the purses will go up.

HBO also has a hand in this...as they should REALLY try to show off the CW division a bit more.

Adamek don't have a chance in the heavyweight division unless he only face decline fighters but i don't see him beating of course the Klits brothers but i also don't see him beating Povetkin, Chambers, Peter, Arreola, Haye. And i don't see Adamek beating Valuev even though Valuev is the weakest heavyweight champion but Adamek is way too small, way too easy to get hit and he's too slow and did i forgot to mention he kind kind of have a suspect chin?

    Excellent points Arriba.

There's some damn entertaining fights to be found there, if the right people ever decided to back it. It becomes a vicious cycle though, because whenever a very good-great cruiserweight moves up, it just kills any chance the division had of getting traction and it just reinforces the mainstream belief of the division. Could you imagine if guys like Toney, JC Gomez, Jirov, David Haye, and now potentially Adamek, had the financial incentive to stick it out at Cruiserweight longer than they did? It probably wouldn't get treated so much like the Heavyweight division's red headed stepchild.

Adamek Hopkins is a match that I really want to see put together. I think that would be an exiting fight.

If a 45 year old Holyfield could hold up against Valuev then so should a young skilled Adamek.

Holyfield did not hold his own against Valuev, he just bounced on his toes and moved around the ring, which confused Valuev into not throwing any meaningful punches. Other then that neither fighter really did anything the whole fight to either win or lose.

The whole event was basically two guys standing in the center or the ring measuring distance with their jabs for 12 rounds. That's not a fight, that's not even a sparring session!
