its July 11th. good date for Marquez or Mosley. I say fight Marquez because he opened his fat mouth on the 28th, but he really doesnt want any.
Read that Hayman is trying to get Floyd on HBO Championship for his return rather then a PPV...since low #'s would hurt his bargaining power on a bigger fight vs. Pac, Shane, or Hatton.
I'd rather see Hopkins-Adamek. I'd be totally shocked if PBF didn't beat Mosely pretty convincingly. Hopkins-Adamek would be a little harder to call, at CW at least.
I'd rather not see Hopkins take another youngster to school. One of these guys need to put their egos aside (very difficult I know) and fight earlier.
Can't wait for Adamek Hopkins, just to prove how big an ATG he is, but its close, to be hoesnt I want to see both.
For a few reasons. Both fighters (Cotto and Pavlik) are on an "I say jump, you say how high" style of command from Arum. Look at the fact that Cotto faced Jennings (whom he didn't want to fight) and Pavlik will likely fight Mora (a fight his people don't want). If Arum says "You guys will fight in this order and that's it" then those guys don't have much else to say. HBO doesn't have that sort of gusto. Also remember that Pavlik and Cotto are still in the relatively early stages of being marketable stars. It's a little different than asking a guy like Hopkins (Who hasn't been an undercard fighter in what, 10 years?), Mosley (A draw on his own right), Mayweather (Boxing's top superstar) or Adamek (who has been a main eventer on Showtime and can easily go back there) to move on the undercard. In other words? Too many egos..too many problems.
I want to see Floyd in a real fight. Hopkins will probably outbox Adamek or lose because he aged overnight.
