Adamek: I could fight Arreola today !

OK ppl i see there is 2 many newbies up heere who dont understand the BASIC TRUTH about boxing , which tells us that MORe muscles=MOre power + higher punch resistance

and guess wot adamek wont be fighting at heavy weighing 200 pounds , he;ll be like 215-220 pounds for sure and he wont be fat also cuz hes not that kind of guy, he'll make that new 10 kg of pure muscles

btw do you know that he weights around 95-97 kg between the fights at cruiser?

now lets compare his height and reach to d other top dogs(except klitchkos and valuev) at heavy that like many of u are saying he couldnt beat anyhow

Adamek: height- 187cm reach - 191cm , now lets see:

eddie chambers(the great american hope)- h:185cm(2 less) R;191cm(same)

Wite lion Povetkin:H-188cm(1more) R:no info but hes white so its probably around 191 also

Ruslan"i think im done" chagaev:H-185cm(2 less) R-188cm(3 less)

Dennis Boytsov:H-185cm(2less) -no info

And finally CHris the fatboy Arreola H:193cm(6 more) R;196(5 more) so its not big deal

My point is that if he could keep his speed , workrate and also increase the power (wot he can do look wot happned when he moved from lhw) he'd be competetive with every of those above mentioned GUys

Not the way Adamek fights. Arreola would be too strong IMO. I suppose if he could ge to the 6th or so in one piece he might be able to win.

 

Wiesiek muscles are not everything take a look at Joe Calzaghe he looks like a normal guy, Adamek's body is not big enough to fight in HW he is too slim, he will maybe have the power,speed etc. but it will be hard for him to cope with power shots of other guys there. He will be just pushed around in the ring by guys more heavy and power full than him.

funny **** atsch in fact cunn's only lack is power, don't say he's sloppy, just watch his fights carefully... besides cunn would win by decision and adamek by ko with dimitrenko imo

What I don't get is how some people can complain that the heavyweight division is stagnant, full of inactive, undisciplined, mediocre fighters and yet try to raise invisible mental barriers for an excellent fighter like Adamek, as if HW is suddenly untouchable and on another level. Note that these same objections (eg., body type, power, speed etc etc) were raised when he announced his move to CW and that division was definnitly more densely packed with talent.

We don't know how Adamek's power, speed and chin will carry to HW, but he can win over against 90% of that division, on his resilient war like mentality alone.

 

i feel you about calzaghe , but im not saying the muscles re key factor to every fighter, all im saying is that if adamek move's up to heavy he'd gain muscles not the fat to make the comfortable weight,

otherwise than some other fighters


cuz Lets be honest here, chambers povetkin boytsow and chagaev re just fat cruiserweights , none of them is ripped and they all look like they could easy make 200 pounds just by doing some aerobic exercises

You're absolutely right. Shannon Briggs is the GOAT HW for power and chin.

 

Chagaev looked like he had about 8 - 10% bodyfat when he fought Wlad. Having defined muscles in genetic. Chagaec has a broad,muscle - bound build, no way he could make cruiser without compromising his athleticism.

 

If Tubby loses his blubby we might have a CW on our hands...

Even if he is really planning to move to HW i'd like to see him first fighting guys in CW like Marco Huck,Cunningham,BJ Flores and Guillermo Jones.

Me too, I want him to have at least 3 belts IBF, WBC and WBO + The Ring ofc, then he can be gone at CW. Later fight Chambers at HW and we all could talk who's better after the bout.

Commander Evander has 13 inch calves and fought HW. You'd be surprised how much muscle/weight Adamek could put on. If James Toney could move to heavy so can Adamek, and with relative ease. Look at Sultan, Chambers, Haye, Povetkin. I bet Adamek could easily bulk up to 225.

 

The problem with all that is timing. If he gets all those belts, he may already be past his prime, especially with his style. You want to compete at HW when you're at your best. Adamek's camp also wants to cash in and there's no better place to do that then at HW, during Adamek's prime. I'm thinking a rematch with Cunni or a fight with Hopkins if its there (for some reason, I doubt that both fights will happen) and its off to the big boys.
