I feel a lot of things are aligned for Adamek to have a wonderful, competative fight here:

    1. Vitali´s age. It´s a question mark at the very least. Can we truly know where Vitali is at given his last fights? Yes, he dominated every opponent, but have a look at those opponents. Adamek is simply more championship savvy and skilled than the likes of Solis (big hype, but wheres the resume to back it?), Briggs (spent and at least 5 years past his prime), Sosnowski (Euro level, still able to go 10 rounds with Vit), Johnson (US hype job), Arreola (US hype job) or Peter (no skills whatsoever). Heck, you can make a serious argument that Vitali hasn´t seen anyone as seasoned, accomplished and skilled as Adamek since he faced Lewis and Byrd and that was almost a decade ago.

    2. Adamek´s extra lengthy preparation for this fight. Adamek has been a busy bee as a HW having more fights than Haye, in essentially half the time the latter has taken. But in coming to this fight, Adamek has had an ideal time off (about 5-6 months) and has chosen to use it fully, by resting and then having an unusually long training camp,at 11 weeks. Barring any injuries or training burn out, which are unlikely for a gym rat like Adamek, this training should serve him well, both physically and mentally. Expect a fighter as prepared as can be, with several coherent fighting plans ready to be executed at will. No half-baked, ill prepared **** we saw in the last mega fight.

    3. Home field advantage. People will see what having a third fighter in the ring is all about. If polish fans are nuts in Jersey, imagine what they are in Poland in much greater numbers. No gay ass wonderland glee club here, just pure fanatic chanting and cheering at every punch Adamek will throw and make. If this fight is close and goes to the cards, Vitali ain´t walking out with that belt.

At heavyweight? Their resumes prior to stepping up to the brothers both kind of suck, but Adamek has had some decent performances against decent opponents (Arreola, Estrada, and I guess Maddalone FWIW) while Haye? He smacked around Barrett at an absolute low point in the guy's career in terms of motivation (before he psyched himself up against Tua...but before he got stopped in half the time by non-puncher Solis). He beat the animated corpse of Ruiz. He beat a shot Harrison who hadn't come to fight, which...whatever. He ran from Valuev and landed a good combo on him at the last minute. Hip hip hooray. And then the Wlad fight.

You want to argue that Haye was the better cruiserweight, OK - a case can be made. Heavyweight? He literally did just talk his way into the big money showdown, and then earned that money the easiest and most cowardly manner possible...and blamed his damn toe .:-(

    All points well taken...

But he would still whip Adamek's ass.

All the people in the world who are pissed at him for the whole Wlad thing can't change that. Pointless to argue it though. Hopefully they fight one day. I don't think it would even be close. I think Haye slaps him around (No Calz).

You think Adamek would go down after a grazing shot? Puhlease. That shot showed us nothing besides Solis´ poor balance and embarassing physical preparation, none of which describe Adamek. Review the shots he has taken against Arreola and Grant to see that it will take more than a shot like that to dispatch him.

If Haye can´t stop Adamek, he can´t win period. Haye´s output is embarrassingly low. Adamek can take him on points, easily, or stop him.

I understand all of these points...

Still, I think Haye disposes of him... And I think he does it in spectacular fashion.

Adamek beating cunningham is better than any win Haye has had. Adamek inmy opinon is more skilled and accurate and would put a systematic beatdown on haye who would be running half the time I think. If haye put him down and kept him down that would be a major surprise, considering nobody including heavyweights has ever put him down.

Haye has more talent, Adamek more grit and more tools. It will be a clash of styles and a war, and I just like Adamek when it comes to wars of equal size. Still, it is a lovely match up and Haye should not be hasty in retiring before considering a fight with Tomasz. It would be lucrative and probably the best match up that can be made at HW. In fact, outside of Pac-May, I don´t see a better fight out there.

Adamek is a great fighter, no doubt.

I just don't think he's fast enough. And despite him having a great chin, I don't think he's fought anyone with close to the combination of speed, power, height and reach of Haye. I see Haye pot-shotting him for the first few rounds, takig a few rounds off, and then putting a severe one-siding beating on him in the last few rounds.

I agree this would be a huge fight. I hope they make this one.
