:hi: You're just mad that Louis is probably the best ever but don't worry Wlad has his memorable moments too, getting starched by a 38 yr old golfer is a great accomplishment :yep

Yeah, it's a troll. 99% certain. Otherwise, how would it have the intelligence to even press the ON button on a computer?

Adamek has never looked especially threatning on paper or when you analyse him. However, he makes intelligent decissions in the ring that enable him to survive tough momements and with the HW move he has shifted his style dramatically, so that he has a legitimate chance to outbox most of his opponents. I don't understand how you can question his chin, given that Arreola's and Grant's bombs didn't put him on his ass. You think Chagaev or Povetkin punch harder? Adamek's activity level is something to behold. He's going into a 5th HW fight in 12 months and will likely fight Vitali in his 6th in March.

Under 200lbs Adamek is a smart fighter with decent skills, but he's a garbage HW. Too small, no power, not great defense and not a high enough overall skill level to make up for it. It is sad to say that in this era he probably deserves a title shot. Especially sad after his last two fights.

So what would you have him do? Take the Haye route and get a gift title shot against one of the weakest champs ever only to defend it once a year against an ancient Ruiz? No. Adamek has done a hell of a job at HW, thourougly outboxing a top 3 contender Arreola and putting other so called athletes to shame with his activity level. Find me one top boxer (not just a HW, any top boxer) who has had 5 fights in the last 12 months. People are totally under estimating what Adamek is doing at HW are the torrid rate at which he's fighting.

Adamek IS special... HW is so bad, that just being always in top shape and giving everything in the ring makes you special.

More seriously, I think no one, even among Adamek fans, claimed him to be special at HW. There is general consensus his chances against Klitschkos are next to none, and for good part of us he would be an underdog even against Haye/Povetkin.

Bum, fat, whatever, both guys are still very heavy hitters, and Adamek's chin held up fine. Do youy really have to diss Adamek just to say how bad the HW scene is?

I was wondering the same thing. He;s making seem like its Adameks fault, when he's one of the best HW's at the moment.

Just watched the repaly tonight, seeing for the first time since we went to the fight. Adamek did very well, & Grant did start to fight better as in progressed, but TA still won handily. His movement will be his savior vs a Klitschko. If he can make them miss their heavy artillery, he will have the opportunity to counter them. I don't think either Klit bro has fought anyone as crafty as Adamek.

So I believe he has a very good chance to beat one of them.

What's the point of starting a thread purely to bash one particular fighter? You think that the HW divison is weak? Cool. Maybe convey some original ideas and thoughts and stop wasting internet space.

Beat fat and unskilled Arreola.... helluva job
Ground out a decision against 38 year old Grant..... helluva job

Actually you're right! He's a great HW! We all know the most important thing is fighting as many times a year as you can, regardless of who you fight and how you look doing it. Adamek is a king amonst men!

Crafty, that's a good one. He can move well and counter with fast kombinatinos.

Em, most people ranked Arreola in the top 3 contenders at the time Adamek faced him and said that Arreola was too big and too strong for Adamek. At least 50% of people on multiple polls on ESB had Adamek knocked out. It sure is nice to have the knowledge we have now and retrospectively devalue a fighter, as you have done with Arreola. Hmm I wonder what your predictions were for that fight.

As far as Grant, let's put it this way. Adamek looked a helluva lot better facing a giant with ample power than Haye facing a giant with no power.

Also, let's not discount defeating Estrada, as that is not a bad win either.

Considering Adamek has been a HW less than a year, yeah, he's done great. As a comparison, take Wladimir's first few extremely rocky years at HW, or do you forget his starchings against bums?

Above all, let's not forget, no one was giving Adamek any chance as a HW when he made the decission to move up. In fact, I recall that when he made the comment in the interview after the Banks fight, most people took that for a joke or a business tactic to get Showtime more interested in the Cunningham rematch. At any rate, Adamek has surpassed most people's expectations. The problem is, people forget what their expectations were a year ago.
