Adamek is really on the Ken Norton level of fighters.

All the modern boxers would have more success if they could be sent back in time.

Its because all sports are being slowly refined. Thats why in the Olympics all the records are being broken. Imagine if Usain Bolt was sent back 50 years ago.

50 years from now there will be boxers that make boxers like Floyd Mayweather look more human.

Wow you owned me there. I will now log off and never comeback you got me so good. Im so ashamed I'll never go on another internet forum again.

  3. No Adamek is able to compete now because he only has to worry about a few other fighters. Ken Norton was the second man to beat Ali. Ken Norton was a world champion in the heavyweight division.

Adamek was battered from post to post by a one handed Arreola. He wouldn't stand a chance vs a prime Golota, Tua, Moorer, Spinks, Witherspoon, Cooney, Young, Shavers, Lyle, Morrison, Ruddock, Mercer, McCall, or Patterson. And those guys weren't even the best or elite in their time aside from Spinks. Adamek has no business at HW. He wouldn't acquire any titles the only thing he'd acquire is a massive beatdown. Hell a Sanders or Byrd absolutely disintigrate and dissect him.

Yes, Adamek doesn't belong in the HW's, yet he'd do pretty well in the era of small, undersized heavies that would be cruiserweights today, aka the golden 70's

Question for those berating Adamek for his performance against Vitali: how many rounds did Norton last against Foreman?

Nanana! everybody knows 70's Foreman is >>> Klitschkos despite the fact he was visibly slower, shorter, lighter, with sloppier technique, and way worse stamina, and rarely ever fought someone of similar size

Earl-hickey is such a spastic that his troll threads are no worst than his usual posts.

Norton could have been much better than he was. He admitted that he never liked boxing, and never had a passion for it.

Norton won trilogy with Ali (no matter what scorecards said) and gave another ATG all he could handle (Holmes).

Adamek so far has beaten only one top10 opponent, and there is not much more he can do as both Klitschkos are outside his reach. And he is 35, which coupled with his style means he has at best a year or two left.

If you thought about H2H comparison I would favour Norton as well - he is not one of old clumsy fighters Adamek easily outpointed, and his chin wouldn't be a problem here either.

As to "some heavyweight titles in the 90's"... well, with some luck Adamek could probably take one (for example from Moorer), but he wouldn't hold it long - once he meets Holy/Tyson/Lewis/Bowe (or a couple of others) it would be over.
