Poor McBride and his slow punches. I guess his corner's keg stand idea would have worked out better inbetween rounds, I wonder if they wouldnt allow it. They talked about it all the way up until Friday before the fight !

McBride would have most likely if not surely beaten Audley last night.

OK, I was there last night and came away somewhat disappointed. Disappointed for the fact that Adamek looked better against Golota, when he first moved to HW, then he did last night. I the fight with Golota, Adameks jab was a thing of beauty. Last night, he used his left hand alot...jabs, hooks to the head & body, but he seemed reluctant to throw a nice straight right hand. And he had plenty of chances to really nail McBride with a right hand. His footwork gets him out of trouble when necessary & that was important last night. It was like TA was fighting a football player instead of a boxer. McBride was ridiculous how he would hold his fists up & just charge at Tomasz, hoping to bull him over. Tomasz hit the canvas twice from this lame McBride tactic.

It will be much different when he faces a lively, dangerous puncher, who is not a slug, like VK will present. If Adamek fights like he did last night against Vitali, he will loose. He has to take advantage of every opening to score.

Considering the circunstances against fighting a sloppy McBride, maybe this is why Adamek seemed to have his hands full at times. Versus VK, the action will be much cleaner. Adamek either outpoints him, or gets put to sleep.

And I'm not sure if the 5 months till the Title fight in Poland will help or hurt the schedule Adamek has been used to working with.

Have you ever seen a boxer outboxing Vitali?
With Vitalis workrate it is impossible to outpoint him.

to the truth ... Adamek has a zero chance to KO/TKO Vitaly, so there was zero gain from KO McBride, instead he practiced for 12 rounds his conditioning and accuracy, so now he have pretty good experience which can give him an edge over Vitaly to score at least SD.

Yeah, & since none of his flying arm bar "punches" after a 2 yard sprint towards Tomasz did no damage, he would then tie up Adamek & lean on him, trying to tire him. TA hard his hands full wrestling with this moose at times. Randy Neumann was the ref., & he did waht he could to protect Adamek. Even deducted 1 pt from KM for excessive holding.

I just wish Adamek had landed more clean right hands, which is what he'll need vs Vitali. But the work he did with his left seemed to be his game plan. He went to McBride's blubber ALOT in this fight. Nothing hurt the guy, though.

The crowd was crazy as usual. Lots of slutty-dressed Polish girls to drool over.:p One drunk guy almost dropped all his ketchuo covered fries all over me. And when the fight started, this Polish guy one row behind me a only a few seats down, starting SCREAMING Polish instructions to Adamek. From 60ft away. All night...every round. About by the 9th round, I told my buddy who went with me that I'd like to take my binoculars & smash him right in the face with them. I was pissed. Kinda ruined the night, being that the fight was getting me nervous that Adamek coulded hurt this whale in any way.

Well, I won't be going to Adameks next fight. Seeing a bunch of them at The Pru Center has been a treat.

I truly hope Adamek has something up his selve to be able to pull a collossal upset & do something nobody has come close to doing.

    :bbb

Adameks problems are a number of reasons....

One he doesn't do well against taller opponents....He made same height Arreola and Maddalone look like ploddlers, but against the big guys like Grant and McDonalds, he has a hard time hitting on the chin. Plus his reach aint the greatest either...

Two, the corner was awful. Lets face it and get one thing straight, Adamek isn't a true American, so he will always have a hard time with his English. Bloodworth don't speak Polish and only English...and his translator(Rozalski) translates a totally different thing to Tomasz opposed to what Bloodworth said...

This is Adamek - McGirt all over again.....

He needs to ditch Bloodworth for Gmitruk or keep Bloodworth and get a good translator as his second assistant in the corner...

I was hoping Adamek would be able to wobble at least McBride.

He was not able to. I found McBrides defense to be pretty air tight, and lots of punches Adamek threw, most of them landed on McBrides gloves.

Adamek didn't take many risks in this fight, either, until the end anyways... and rightfully so. He did as intstructed by his corner and clearly won the fight. In a fight where one punch could change everything, especially a fight with so much at stake, this was a wise thing to do.

I also noticed in the last 2 fights Adamek didn't look as good as he did against Arreola, Golota, Maddalone, Estrada, is because his reach is really a limitation. He really has to stretch to hit these big guys, and doing that leaves him open, and vulnerable for a punch, so it is not an easy task. I think his lack of reach is one thing that is giving him the most trouble at this new weight with the bigger guys.

He still has his stamina, work ethic, heart, chin, speed, footwork, ring IQ playing in his favor, so he still has a chance to outpoint Vitali. The only thing this fight showed is Adamek had trouble connecting on McBride, and when he did, it seemed the punches were one at a time and didn't phase McBride much.
