Adamek No 1 WBO

The fight with Arreola was on HBO because Arreola was a HBO fighter. They've never shown Adamek before and have no plans to do so in the future.

Look it's not hard, the President of HBO Sports says they are not going to show Adamek or any other heavyweight anymore. You, an internet random, say they are going to. You'll probably need some better evidence than 'it's just my opinion' to win anyone over...

Ream my post again. I said its my opinion about PPV. But its a common known fact that HBO is very interested in Adamek. They will show every title fight including Adamek, that take place in US.

Obviously, you could have just pointed that out in the first place, instead of going all round the houses, but not like I've never been a **** just to score a point. I probably wouldn't have done the big red letters though, just looks a bit needy....

Tua fighting a quality opponent?

 

The Spinks example is a fair one. I mean, it was thirty something years ago. But that's fair. Comparing Haye with Jones is a joke. I mean, there's no doubt Haye was a very good cruiserweight. But how many title defenses did he have exactly? One. I'm continually astounded by posters who claim he cleaned out the division, got bored and moved up. He had one title defense. Also, Adam Boothe himself has stated that Haye "probably didn't deserve a shot at the title." That's his own manager in a BBC interview.

 

Haha, Tua ahead of Povetkin. That's a slap in Sasha's and Teddy's face. WBO sent a good message.

Now that Adamek is numero uno, his fight with Wlad will likely happen. If you said just one year ago Adamek would be a top HW contender most people would laugh. Right not, though, they sort of take it for granted. I don't. I think what Adamek is doing is exceptional. If he beats Wlad, it will be historical.

 

Well of course. Most title contenders today don't 'deserve' a shot at the title. That's the product of having multiple titles per division. Anyone who has done enough to deserve a shot usually already has a title.

In the heavyweight division you have Arreola, Sosnowski, Johnson, Holyfield, Ruiz as recent title contenderss, none of them 'deserved' a shot.

2bad for adamek its Wlads belt, seriously. I would favour adamek over Haye and that would be a guaranteed exciiting fight. With vitaly there is also a chance due to his age and style which atleas allows u to come closer and try to bang with him. I think vitaly would be still 2much at this point but it could be quuite competetive and entertaining bout with adamek even gaining some respect after losing as he's much smaller man.

But against wlad, no way in hell the fight is gonna be exciting. And chances to win are very slim. So i still hope they'll choose vitaly.


P.S; Bloodworth recently said they re not going for the title just after grant, that they need 1 or maybe even 2 more fights to be fully prepared.

 

I do agree that Vitali's resume is growing increasingly embarrassing and that he should retire. But Haye's got to step up here if there's any shot for the heavyweight division in the future. Four months without an opponen is shameful. Fight Adamek, fight Povetkin (if you can find him), fight Chambers. Don't fight Audley Harrison for god's sake. :shock:
