Yes. So has Wilder. Fury has said that neither fighter is "worthy" at this point. The man is delusional.

Would you retire if you could get a solid 6 figure payday against almost anyone and a 7 figure payday against Szpilka(a guy who can't possibly beat you)?

Peoples panties getting in a bunch over this cracks me up

Adamek is not a champion, he has no responsibility to fight anyone in the division. The guy is at the end of the road and has earned the right to choose who he wants to fight at this point. Hes not a realistic contender, and is looking for a last few big fights to close out his career. He chooses not to fight someone 90% of boxing fans have ever heard of and people start calling him a coward. Its funny how fickle ****s like boxing fans can call a guy whos given as much of himself to this sport as Adamek has, a coward, because at the end of his career he wants to be a bit more economical with who he fights.

Adamek is just a face at heavyweight, hes not a realistic contender, he doesnt hold a belt, and hes payed his dues in boxing to close out his career the way he wants to, and at this point he can fight anyone he damn well wants to as long as hes not getting title shots.

Adamek vs Artur Szpilka, in Poland, is an awesome fight for him.

This sucks. Pulev hasn't fought in about 5 months. He was on a roll and I hope they have something for him this month. Adamek should never have wasted their time by getting into it from the get go.

Actually all this can end up in two nice fights. Adamek- Banks in Poland and Pulev vs Jennings. Adamek is making his career in the US so the fight with Banks is much more reasonable than Pulev who is a no name in America. It's easier to sell fight with Banks (who just KO'ed black HW hope in his last fight) to the people in the USA. If Adamek wins with banks and Arreolla wins his next fight we will prolly see Adamek Arreolla rematch- that's antoher reason why Adamek wants to make a big name for himself in the US market rather than in Europe. Also how Pulev is made to be as such a monster to make Adamek scared? You think Adamek is scared of him because he beat Ustinov?

Good move by Adamek and if he can make good money fighting lesser guys than Pulev than he should go for it. Adamek isn't the champ and isn't a top 10 heavyweight, though you could make an argument based on his record. If he wants to fight guys like Szpilka, Golota 2, etc than he should go for it. I'd prefer the best heavies facing each other and I don't put Adamek in that bunch.

I do think Adamek should have never entered the IBF tournament and let someone else in who would have faced Pulev. He took up a slot, that could have been very important to someone elses career, and never used it.

the problem is no good heavyweights are fighting each other, they just fight bums until getting a title shot. i was looking forward to adamek v pulev, whos pulev gonna fight then?

    what gonna happen

It seems like Pulev is going to defend his EBU title in the next month or two, I'd expect a decent but nothing special type of fighter. Than he faces whomever the IBF decides to replace Adamek with, possibly Bryant Jennings.

The IBF could just make him the mandatory without facing anyone else but they seem to be leaning towards replacing Adamek which is a good idea.
