He's not taking this fight to line his pockets...he needs time to further develope his body for HW & pound on some meat in the process.

I'd say after Rahman, his next oppoenet will be alot more of a challange. Win that one & then it will be time to get serious in the HW division.

These are truely great times for boxing fans, with Pacmans amazing run & the possibility of Adamek doing great things, too. Maybe to 2 most exciting fighters in the sport today.

I talked to Adameks manager Ziggy Rozalski last week to find out if there was any truth to the rumor of Adamek vs Haye being made right now & he said "NO, no way" are they going to rush Adamek at HW. They have chosen the correct path. Its gonna take some time for Adameks body to become solid at HW, just like it took time when he moved to CW. He was soft when he 1st moved up, but look how solid he was in his last CW fight.

well ****, i'd give him more credit for a win over Rahman than Haye's over Barrett.

I obviously want to see him get in the mix but as another poster said he's trying to grow into a heavy. In this fight i'd like to see him at a solid 215, maybe 220 at the heaviest, high teens with no stomach this time.

Then after beating Rock step it up against a top opponent.

Its only his second fight at HW, but it will say us a lot about Adamek's chin at HW. I think that if he passes through Ramhan, then it will be one more fight and then in the second half of 2010 hopefully he is fighting for the belt.

Wow, I gotta say that Adamek is definitely not short in the balls department. Golota and now Rahman for his first two fights at heavy. Granted both of them are past their respective primes but still it is very impressive.

I will take the quicker better skilled Adamek to eventually stop Rahman in the 8th round.

I would have prefered Brewster or Tua as it would have been a tougher physical workout. However this will do, and it's good that he's fighting again so soon.

The fact is this is a business, not gladiators. There are ways to go about business. If you are going top be outweighed 30-40 pounds each fight, you proceed carefully. I figured more ppl woild have been impressed by his activity.

Adamek's goal is a shot at Haye. A realistic chance at mega bucks, a heavyweight title and being a 3 weight champ. Now you don't try to achieve this by going in headfirst vs Arreola, Chambers, & Boytsov, do you? No, you take it slowly, learn on the job, get the fights that will get you ranked, and then gun for the big prize. It is simply a process and there is nothing to get agitated or worked up about.

Tua would slaughter Adamek. It's a horrible style match up. A relentless, stronger, busy fighter, who hits as hard as any heavyweight in history. For the aggresive, defensively frail Adamek? The fight would be brutally short.

If I'm having trouble sleeping that night I'll be sure to tune in, it might help my insomnia.
