Adamek should Target Haye, Not Arreola

As a fan of Adamek, I see Arreola as a big, 260 lb risk, with no title belt on the line.

It is Adamek's dream to become a HW world champion, and we know he has spoken of facing David Haye in the near future. Even his fight with Estrada seemed a prelude to a Haye match, tuning up against a small yet slick and speedy Heavyweight.

Now however, he is veering off course with this fight against a big goliath of a man who could end his Heavyweight dreams and in fact career with a single shot. I believe Adamek can beat Arreola with the perfect gameplan but it would be a tough fight that he really doesn't need en route to a title shot.

Haye and hopkins is pretty much a done deal if they both win. Adamek should go back down to cruiser. He was lucky that fight with estrada was in Poland.

Targeting Haye may be his plan after fighting Arreola. Facing Arreola probably had more to do with HBO's business strategy then with Adamek's plans. Few fighters could refuse a chance to be on prime time and Arreola may be the fastest ticket to a title shot. If Adamek and his trainers realisitcally feel they can devise a good plan to exploit Arreola's weaknesses (and there are many), than Adamek should be given a chance to fight him. Im pretty confident that they are dissapointed in Adamek's last performance and know they will need to raise the bar considerably to beat Arreola. Even if he loses, he can still take the smaller HW opponent route and will likely get another crack at the title.

Haye has a fight with Ruiz in March I believe? Seeing as how Haye doesn't necessarily keep a tight schedule with his fights (six months between fights at the minimum?), There's a good chance Arreola is just the more available opponent.

:nut Are you on any kind of medication, or are you simply as deluded as your boy Estrada? I remember Estrada was crying thesame **** when he lost to Travis Walker.Ditto after the Povetkin fight. I guess he's a victim of conspiracy in every loss he suffers.

Haye is a more winnable fight for Adamek.

Outside of Vitali, Adamek will be the best fighter on Arreola's resume (which is very thin imo). Speed and combination punching may just win the day.

I think he would struggle against either of them, but I concur that Tomasz would have a better chance against David.

Why is Arreola so highly regarded? Is it his defeats over guys like Walker, McCline and Minto? These are his best wins so there must be something more......Is it his fearsome face?

I agree. Arreola is massively, massively over rated.

I think Adamek has more chance against fat, lumbering heavys, where his speed, boxing ability and stamina are his key advantages.

Fighting a guy like Haye, he loses most of his advantages, if not all of them. (probably chin might be his only advantage).

I would give Adamek more chance of beating Arreola than of beating Haye. Yep, theres the chance he might get tagged with something big, but that could happena gainst Haye too.

There's a big chance Arreola could just swing at air for 10 or 12 rounds, and end up losing, and crying again that "it's not fair the other guy didn't just stand in front of me and let me hit him. What's with this hit and move bull****...."

Who said he was highly regarded? As to why he might struggle against Chris, Chris has an accomplished amateur pedigree, it's a shame he doesn't display his boxing skills more and has a brawler mentality instead. But when he does, he has an effective jab and can use it to sufficiently set up his power punches. He also has a decent height and reach advantage. He can take a punch, and his been taking punches from Heavy's a lot longer and more than either Haye or Adamek. Even when he took a knee against Walker he never seemed that hurt. Although he doesn't punch as hard as his younger brother, Vitali is not feather-fisted. Is it to say his chin is made of granite, **** no but it's not grade a-glass jaw-china chin either.

Which brings to my next point-he can also punch. As far his resume goes it's nothing stellar, but his only loss comes at the hands of Vitali, which is no shame. Because there are plenty of people who still think he is the best HW, and than no one including his young brother could beat him. Now is it to say Chris is the next coming of Joe Louis-no, not for all the tea in china. There are definite concerns when you examine Chris, especially, and the most obvious is his lack of conditioning and motivation. So yeah his nothing special but not as putrid as some have suggested.

What he needs is to fight Cristobal. If he wins he moves on, if not then possible CW.
