Adamek should Target Haye, Not Arreola

Adamek says it often: he wants to fight on the HBO. Fight with Cristobal will be aired by HBO. If Adamek excites, then he will get bigger recognition and bigger money. And then simply HBO will put a lot of money to make the Adamek-Haye. Now they wouldnt put so much money.

Targetting Haye would take many months to make a fight, there is big queue to that WBA title. Adamek wants to stay busy he wants to have 3-4 fights a year.

I give Adamek a better chance against Haye then against Arreola.
Adamek vs Haye will be a pick 'm fight, but I think Arreola would walk him down.
But at least he's a boxer who goes for it, he has guts and a good workrate... There should be more like him in the HW division.

 

I think Haye and Adamek need to at least fight a few heavies in order to vanquish the criticisms that they aren't big enough to compete properly in the HW division.

I disgree with the poster who said it wouldn't be a big fight in the UK, Adamek is very well known by Polish boxing fans and as a boxing fan who enjoyed both Haye and Adamek as CWs will be interested in a dust up between the two.

 

I dunno how some of you are suggesting that Adamek will beat Haye. Based on what?? beating a washed up Golota and going the distance with Estrada? (A guy with barely 5 KOs to his name and a feather fist as far as heavyweights go)

Those fights tell you very little about where Adamek is at, at Heavyweight so forget about Haye for the time being, and look to Areolla.

In my opinion I think Adamek just isn't big enough for the style of fighter he is, to be able to get on top of these guys at heavyweight. He'd have to be very elusive and I don't think he really is. If he gets caught clean by a puncher, thats it!

Look at Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey. Over 10k people came to see Adamek.

 

As long as Adamek doesnt try to gain more weight and executes his gameplan and fights a smart fight, he has a good chance of beating Arreola, but he has to be careful.

The fight will probably take place in California (Arreolas home), and Arreola has been an HBO fighter... Arreola is on his bounce back up after the Klitschko loss, and it seems the plan for him is to get up again, and maybe even be using Adamek as a stepping stone to get there.

With such a short break after Estrada that HBO is giving Adamek they are pretty much telling him "take it or leave it" as if they don't care, and can just find somebody else to put in there to get beat on with Arreola on his way back up.

What I am saying is Adamek will have to beat Arreola, and do it convincingly, because I am starting to get skeptical on how things are looking as far as Adamek getting a fair fight, and score at the end of it. :think HBO may not pick the judges but... that is where the money is.

I have to disagree, With Arreaola Adamek has a good chance of avoiding a lot of the slow punches.

Looking at how many Adamek ate in his last fight ( against a guy not as quick handed as Haye ) and taking Hayes power into account I think he'd get stopped.

Arreola is a more winnable fight IMO just because he stood up to 12 rounds of Vitali ( and at what point did VK actually go for the KO ??? ) doesnt mean the guy is a monster or nothing.

Adamek has the better chin than Haye but for me he is weaker in every other department.

He may not be as strong as Arreola but he is faster , technically more sound and in far better shape.

 

Adamek has 2 fights at HW. Haye has 3 fights at this weight. They both were beasts at CW. They are similar size, both quick. Haye has more power in his hands, while Adamek has better chin. I understand people who say "Adamek beats Haye" or "Haye beats Adamek". It will be like 95% of Brits say "Haye beats Adamek" and 95% of Poles say "Adamek beats Haye". I think that we will never be objective at all. I least I can try, but I will always give Adamek an edge vs Haye I think that our American friends must have fun while reading our posts. And I think that if both Haye and Adamek passes through their next opponents, then it will be very loud here about this fight (Haye-Adamek).
