I think otherwise. When Adamek has big speed advantage he is very dangerous vs every fighter. And I think unless Arreola comes in shape, there will be huge difference at speed.
:huh YEAH:ERFECT::: Thats it David...like you said many times "I want to fight the best" this must be a joke:blood
Again, fellas, I think it's just easier to get an Arreola fight than it is to get a Haye fight. He may just be aiming in the ballpark of reality on this one.
Its gotta be , this is just Hayes GBP boys having some fun keeping Bernards name in the mix. :huh I hope Hows camp going Chef ?
Adamek is all about taking risks so I'm not surprised here. This should be a very entertaining fight and I expect Adamek to win by UD. Haye fight should come next, that fight guarantees a KO in my opinion and possibly a great entertaining heavyweight event which is PPV worthy for sure.
Haye / B-Hop does make some sense. Hopkins will see Haye as a weak champ and would look great on paper to add to his legacy. Meanwhile it will be a big money fight for Haye and loads of Americans will see the fight and he will hope to recruit some American fans in preperation for fighting one of the Klitschkos.
Haye is a MUCH better target for Goral than Arreola. Of course, Haye is a much better p4p fighter than Arreola (it's not even close), but that doesn't mean he isn't an easier opponent for Adamek. Size matters. Adamek's pressure and workrate can bug Haye. There's a world of difference between evading a lumbering giant and a neutralizing a real live pressure fighter your own size and not too far behind in speed. I give Adamek woefully little chance against Arreola, and it's NOT because I rate Arreola at all. I'd also give Haye only a puncher's chance against Arreola - and he'd have to hit the sweet spot with that perfect counterpunch early, without getting hit himself. These guys really should have stuck it out at Cruiserweight so we could by now be seeing them duke it out for total unification.
That's all there is to it. This fight would be a gimick, that only ignorant boxing fans would watch. If Haye actually does this after fighting Ruiz, his campaign at HW is an absolute joke.
Well, those "if they both win" situations have a way of running into snafus, as we saw last time a Hopkins look-ahead date was "pretty much a done deal". Of course, Bernard will once again hold up his end of the bargain but people shouldn't count Ruiz out. His new aggressive style combined with his experience and edge in strength could give Haye problems. And people bitching about the prospect of Hopkins going after a HW title, or admonishing Haye for potentially taking him as a challenger - where was all the incredulous outrage when Hopkins-Maskaev was being talked about? People assumed Bernard would walk through Oleg, perceived to be the weakest titlist at the time. The current HW version of Haye is not necessarily a better champ than the Maskaev of a few years back. Beating Barrett, Valuev, and Bonin doesn't a fearsome champion make. To put things in perspective, if Hopkins coming off his recent run were challenging the Haye that reigned at Cruiserweight only recently, it wouldn't seem all that ridiculous. Haye didn't eat any magic beans and turn into a superheavyweight since then. He's still a boxer puncher who likes to use rhythm - and Bernard loves to bust up people's rhythm. And he eats confident punchers for breakfast. On this we agree. So should Haye. They should have a megafight at 200. Of course, that's all a pipe dream now. Um...it wasn't. Was this a joke? If not, sorry, this one couldn't be allowed to slip by unnoticed.
Haye talking that he is great but his performance against Valuev wasn't good . Haye need beat somebody really good and prove that he is real Hw champ.
I think so too, but the reward factor here trumps the risk factor. The reward for beating Arreola is a jump up the HW ladder and an HBO payday, but the reward for beating Haye is all of this plus a shiny WBA HW crown. I too see Adamek as an underdog against Haye. Haye is quicker, more agile, bigger, and younger. That said I think Haye gets a bit wild sometimes, and I think Adamek has the better chin and possibly gastank (if he stops bulking up). I can see Adamek winning this fight, but his chances are less than stellar IMO.
