Which is less than 3 months after his scheduled fight against Estrada, who's no slouch. Hectic schedule, I would say. Either Adamek has some supreme confidence or he's being mismanaged. The Arreola-Adamek fight has FOTY written all over it.
I'm with Adamek here, I'm a fan of his but have overlooked him since his loss to Dawson which I believe 100% now that it was weight issues more than anything. Not to take anything away from Dawson, still I think Adamek might have lost but given him a far better challenge. A lot of people have their eyes on Haye, I believe Adamek is going to force people to look at him in this heavyweight approach. Adamek by UD or TKO.
I am PUMPED for this fight. Guaranteed crowd-pleaser! Props to both men for taking this. Both have something to lose by making this match, and it's good to see fights like this being made.

I have to say this, and people know I'm no fan of Dawson and a big fan of Adamek: Dawson likely beats Adamek 9/10, at 190lbs or less. It's just a tough match-up for Adamek. If Chad stays on his bike and 1-2's throughout the fight, Adamek probably doesn't catch up to him to lay down the hammer. Yes, Adamek would have more energy at a higher weight (he was, it seems, super weight-drained for the Dawson fight), but that doesn't necessarily mean he would be able to catch-up to Dawson in order to land some meaningful shots. I just had to say this because I try to be honest even when it goes "against" guys I like and "for" guys I don't like. The reason Adamek beat Cunningham was because USS tried to go to war with him. Bad strategy. If USS just boxes and moves, he wins that fight. Dawson was smart enough not to try that strategy. And unless he changed his tactics, he could probably win another boring but lopsided UD against the less-athletic Adamek. Just being real. :good Props for your post, Scar!
Possible fight of the year candidate here. Two punching machines with super cojones and chins locking horns....my kinda fight! :bbb
3 months is enough time betwen fights you ******ed ****. Not every fighter fights one or twice a year like Mayweather.
HBO want it, though arreola's ppl say there is no deal as yet. i reckon both fighters go with it, cos it's HBO. i think steve kim said it could be in anaheim, CA, which is arreola terrain, and which also gives adamek i nice chance to build a bigger audience. no doubting adamek's quality. but can he crossover? these next 2 fights are absolutely crucial for him. i know he wasn't right for dawson, due to weight, tactics, unrefined skills at the time. but that loss set him way back in terms of TV coverage. yes, he came back, proved himself, even vs someone similar in style/physical talent/quality to dawson (steve cunningham). and he built a good following in newark, JN, became a superstar in poland - but he has to beg for scraps in terms of TV coverage (i.e. ShoBox, program for priospects, for banks despite it being a proper world title fight). arreola, after wasting such a big chance breing out of shape vs vitali, surely can't pick and choose opponents. he's lucky to be on HBO so many times, and without paul williams main events he would not be. i hope he knows that.
