I understand what you guys mean...you want to see more exciting style fights when the Klischkos fight...well, don't look to see that anytime soon with both brothers. They're just too dominant. Lennox Lewis wasn't involved in too many dogfights either. Doesn't mean you have to close yourself off to the rest of the division though. Arreola always seems to be involved in a dogfight as well as Povetkin...the division is still alive and well...just have to look at the matchups...just like in any other division.
Sorry about that...I understand and repect your opinion, as I do all posters!!:good I understand what all of you are saying...unfortunately, we won't be seeing any dogfights like we did in the nineties which include the Klitschkos...they're just too dominant. They are a lot like Lennox Lewis in the fact that they aren't tested often because of their size and skill. I love seeing the dogfight though...watch guys like Arreola, Povetkin, boystov, and solis...they are tough guys who throw very good punches in combination... and they love to scrap!!
Yup...the fights were competitive until Lennox became champ. That's my point...the fights were competitive because we didn't have anyone capable of being a dominant champ throughout most of the nineties. The fighters of that era were tough and competitive, but not dominant. Made for more competitive fights though...you're right about that. You guys make a very good argument for creating a Super Heavyweight division.:good
Keep waiting...they're too small...it will look a lot like Ibragimov or chagaev versus Wladimir Klitschko. The more and more I think about it, there really should be a super heavyweight division determined by height and not weight.
Look at it this way...if you were a fighter and could win by KO without getting hit often in the process, wouldn't you fight that way too? Like I said...hate the game, bro. I think you have a lot of very valid points and I feel that now, more than ever, a super heavyweight division is necessary. Don't lose faith with the heavies...just look at the match-ups. Arreola and Adamek will be a fight of the year candidate for sure. If Haye ever fights anyone worth fighting it should be pretty exciting as well. Povetkin versus Byrd was an outstanding fight as well. The fights are coming, man.:good
Trust me, i love watching Adamek fight...he is a warrior...but so are most of Wlad and Vitali's opponents. Unfortunately, their opponents usually don't have a say in the matter...they're placed in "check-mate" pretty quickly.
Take away the blubber and we have the same wieght. Golota was 260 pounds and got his ass handed to him by a guy almost 50 pounds lighter.
Chambers might be able to beat a Golota or Sanders in their prime, although I wouldn't count on it, Chambers isn't beating Bowe. Povetkin and Chagev would DEFINITLEY lose to all three in their prime. There is no misconception about today's heavyweights, they freaking suck.
Klitschkos didnt fight versus such boxer as Adamek (or Haye). They usually fight against old (Maskaev), fat (Arreola), not smart at all (Peter) or weak opponents (Johnson). Its not they fault of course, because these fighters were currently in the top of the division. I see 3 fighters who would make much bigger problems to Klitschkos than all of their opponents form last 3-4 years. They are: Povetkin, Haye and Adamek. Whats more I dont see Adamek or Povetkin being KOd by either Klitschko. They are very smart fighters and they are fast. Haye is fast too, but he isnt as smart and his chin is suspected.
